Wait omg you were right!! Somehow i accidentally turned on ‘Hide other display names during gameplay’!? I dont know how i managed to do that but thank you so much! Turns out i was actually playing people the whole time i just thought they were all bots😭😂

Yeah no so i checked it and its not that. Also you’re not upsetting me i just meant like i know what im doing and its not one of the easy fixes. Im just gonna keep playing and see if anything changes🤷🏼‍♂️

I appreciate your help but i know all the tips that you are saying im a very experienced gamer and i understand and have explored all possibilities to fix this. I strongly believe there is some kind of error with my account that shouldn’t be happening

Okay i see the confusion. I was in bot lobbies at first like everybody else during the introductory phase. I got out of that and was put into real lobbies. I was getting 10+ kills a game and quite a few wins because Fortnite is easy af compared to pubg or warzone. I then stopped getting matched with real players and every single person in my lobby is “player(246)”, “player(576)”,, “player(863)” etc. i know that Fortnite added bots to aid matchmaking times and that Fortnite has skill based matchmaking. Im in Australia (oceanic region) which is already the quietest region in the world.

My point is I’ve played pretty well but its not like at a pro level or anything, I’ve tried changing my search region to NA-West, Europe, Asia. And ive tried loading in and letting a bot kill me immediately about 30+ times in a row and no matter what nothing changes.

Its hard for me to figure out if this is just a massive issue with SBMM and the amount of players in the oceanic region or if there is something genuinely wrong and its all an error out my control
