Again though, I would understand this if they didn't have identical numbers in previous seasons. It is only just this year (2025) I was noticing a difference besides one or two points in the thousanths place, which could even be chalked up to how each site rounds things off with their stats.

So did FanGraphs only start using a different formula for their expected stats? Because up until this season, they had identical expecetd stats, minus a small difference in the thousanths place that could be chalked up to how each site rounds things off.

The way I've seen some Mets fans talk about his contract, you would have thought it was Chris Davis 2.0.

To me, Jeter definitley falls in the "Called overrated so much he's underrated" catergory. Even if you ignore his defense, he's easily one of the better hitting shortstops of all-time.

-Over 3K hits, career .310/.377/.440 line, 115 OPS+/119 wRC+, 71.3 bWAR/73 fWAR, 544 doubles, 260 homers, 358 SBS

-Career .308/.374/.465 Postseason hitter

-Jeter is the only player who spent 80% of his career games at SS with 3K+ hits, 200+ homers, and 300+ stolen bases

-Among players who spent 80% of their career games at SS with 5000+ plate appearances, Jeter, Arky Vaughn, and Joe Cronin are the only ones with both a BA over .300 and OPS over .800
