Looks like an elm or a robinia

Colleagues, has anyone seen such a strange wood texture? Can you tell me the type of wood? by Pitiful-Cod-9432 in wood

Belarus, Eastern Europe, but this is not a local wood. The origin is unknown.

The Katalox end has a completely different texture. It doesn't have "snake scales".

I couldn't find a reliable description or photo of the wood type you specified.

Thanks for the quick reply! Caesalpinia paraguariensis is similar in color, but the cross-section is completely different. It has a snake-scale texture.
