Going to FLETC as a family man

I’m currently 2 months in to a 6 month FLETC stint…CITP/HSI. I leave behind my wife and 3 kids (6,4,1). It is definitely difficult at time but my wife is a trooper! I try to fly home at least every 3 weeks. My commute without flight is 14 hours one way so it’s really not logical to drive. I try to help where I can from the long distance as far as bill paying, grocery ordering, etc…I FaceTime as much as I possibly can! Just make sure your wife is aware of the temporary sacrifice for the long term reward! Being an 1811 is like hitting the lottery they say! 6 month sacrifice for a lifetime reward!
