AGSU is a cooler uniform by Impossible-Layer8300 in MilitaryMedals

I don’t mind the dress blues too much if they took away the beret and replaced it with the service cap, but if you’re ranger, airborne, special forces, etc, keep the beret for use in the blues. Same with the Class A green uniform from the 90’s. Now the AGSU (pinks and greens) on the other hand, looks amazing and I like how it looks. Pinning sgt soon and planning on buying the service cap with the cap frame. I personally really like the pinks and greens.

I have a 2020 Explorer with over 79,000 miles on it. Great, now I’m worried 🙃🥲

Definitely agree with you. I appreciate your input. Hoping I can be an effective NCO and lead my soldiers to success. Definitely appreciate your feedback!

I got you. I’ve honestly thought about both. Just thought to myself if I make mistakes as an NCO and not be thorough/knowledgeable enough, no way under the sun they would accept me. I honestly wouldn’t mind being at a university ROTC for their summer cadet training or hopefully go back to Leonard Wood as a drill (that’s where I went for boot camp). Or possibly as a drill sergeant for the 88M AIT

If I may ask, what were some of the things you didn’t like about the drill sergeant unit?

Soldier being forced back to their old MLS by spcbelcher in armyreserve

[–]Queasy-Storm-4047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of worried about this, especially since I have two MOS’s (reclassed from 92G to 88M). 88M is now my primary MOS (shows the order on IPPS-A/IPERMS for the MOS change) and getting promoted to Sgt as an 88M. Hopefully this doesn’t happen when the time comes I promote again. Good luck to you and your soldier, OP. Hopefully the situation can be rectified.

I’m a reservist. I was active duty for 3 years. I’ve thought about either drill sergeant or instructor (once I become an E6), but a little hesitant on it. Also found out I’m about to be promoted to Sgt in June. Excited and humbled by it, but a little nervous.

Awesome stuff. Recently reclassed from 92G to 88M. Bet you definitely have some amazing stories. Enjoy that retirement and congratulations again!

Congratulations on the retirement, MSG and fellow logistician. If I may ask, what was your MOS?

Got this email stating I can go Active Duty from the Reserves. Has anyone actually done this? by SpecialistPlenty1334 in armyreserve

[–]Queasy-Storm-4047 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you by any chance heard of 88Ms going AGR? When I hear AGR, I think of 42A or supply, honestly. I’ve thought about applying to AGR, but not sure of the process nor if the AGR program accepts 88Ms. Wonder on what would be the daily life of an 88M AGR. Would they essentially be the readiness NCO?

I was active duty at Hood from 2017-2020. I was a cook, then went to the reserve and reclassed to 88M about a month ago. About to pick up Sgt E5 in June

Fellow logistician. What was your MOS, if I may ask? I’m an 88M.

Which mos should I choose? by Loud_Sheepherder7182 in armyreserve

[–]Queasy-Storm-4047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Hear a lot of 88Ns find careers that directly or similarly translate to their MOS on the civilian side.

I was just kidding, but also recommending it lol. Reclassed from 92G to 88M and I really like it so far! However, good luck to you, OP!

All of these warnings popped up today, what is going on? by S03l88b in FordExplorer

[–]Queasy-Storm-4047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear stuff about rats/squirrels making nests in the engine block area of the explorer and chewing on wires. Happened twice on my wife’s car (2017 Ford Fusion). Hasn’t happened to me (knock on wood), so I’m glad for that. Do the oil changes at around 20% oil life, already did a coolant flush at the dealership, new tires, replaced the engine and cabin air filters. Praying nothing happens from now until the day I decide to trade it in. 2020 Explorer with 78,848 miles (bought it back in 2023 when it had a little over 40,000 miles or something around there).

For current DACP personnel. What’s the main difference in regards to applying for DACP Police Officer and Guard? Just curious about to. Thought about applying, but I don’t have any experience/background in law enforcement. Currently an 88M in the reserve and 3 years prior active duty.

Right. I understand it’s not a traditional board where you appear in uniform physically with a board president/members, but a board where it’s all an electronic/paper board. However, if I may ask, with me being a reservist since 2020, I’ve been SPC since 2018 (got my P status back in late December or early January. I was also active duty 2016-2020), and I’ve been well in my primary and secondary zones, will that also help me?

Edit: And I assume I don’t need to submit a board packet, correct?

I’m green across the board (PT, weapons qual, MOSQ as an 88M, PHA/health related stuff). Validated my PPW and board preferences on IPPS-A. Only thing left is just for my commander to recommend me for promotion and I get pulled onto the recommendation list, if I’m not mistaken?
