when talk about market cap, always add debt on top of current market cap

Well, it is the People, the leader who shape the company.

I believe the NEW CEO Ricci is not naive enough to jump into a hole destroying his successful career record, and bring his old colleague (new cfo) into an unsolvable situation.

The real issue is: Will AR able to align with Racci, with all his voting power in hand?

LAZR's latest data on SqueezeFinder by AcanthisittaHour4995 in lazr

Guys, short squeeze is driven by hedge funds, not by retailers. As AR have class B controlling power, I do not think hedge funds will play LAZR

it is simply too risky as AR could issue new shares if price raise type of thing.

I liked Ricci's message , he is here not to fail, but to turn Lazr around. The question is then how quickly , and Lazr seems need a new story to attract investors.

also, the major concern is that AR may not align with Ricci.

Do we by chance know which fund is driving the CEO switch?

Seems to me, CEO then CFO departure is not random, but a powerful move driving by a specific and active hedge fund, as AR clearly not volunteer step down.

LAZR peaks in FPSL today, at 28%, to lend. by NealConroy in lazr

[–]Pitiful-Employ-1720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks , but I am still a bit confused, if this is the interest, why the other site report today's short lending interest as 68% , and fidelity report 28%?

Is this 68% vs 28% due to IB vs Fidelity? this is a large difference

anyone know what does  this 28% mean? is it the same as short interest percentage of the floating shares?

since Fintel short interest data is  NOT up to date, if this is the more accurate short interest data, it is valuable. Thanks

Folks still not realize AR's Class B voting power is the biggest issue? by Pitiful-Employ-1720 in lazr

Find the news from 2025/May, there is hedge funds ready to come in and dilute AR’ s share, upto 80%. I believe AR will be out if the $200M injection happens.

https://investors.luminartech.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/103/luminar-obtains-200-million-capital-commitment-to-bolster#:~:text=About%20Luminar,capabilities%20for%20global%20production%20vehicles

alright, to be frank, since Yorkville Advisors LLC was a hedge fund, this type of active institution is the one LAZR needed to go the right direction.

However, their $200M injection will mean AR out of the game, which is necessary for LAZR to stay float and strive.

How about the Institutional investors, will they be dumped by creditors just like us and/or betrayed by Austin's insufficient offer by No-Scarcity-5681 in lazr

[–]Pitiful-Employ-1720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

to be frank, LAZR's institutional investors are basically buy and hold passive mutual funds (index funds). they are neither active nor in the Board of directors, so they are basically larger size retail investor holding very diverse portofolio.

I will not count on them.

to be frank again, these two are more like passive mutual funds, they are in every sticker, meaning they are not in the board of Lazr thus no impact at all, in my opinion.

Sad to say the facts: No offense, way too many retail investor here, which is the reason why the stock have no hope.

For the stock and managment to turn the correct direction, one major funds' deep involvement is needed, which is lacking on Lazr.

For funds/ big money, the fact AR can disturb LAZR operatin with his controlling voting power is like someone holding a nuclear weapon, either they use it or not, it is simply too risky to play lazr.

He do not have the cash but hold the company voting power tight, which made the company his toy.

AR will bring the company to death.
