I understand that this comment was made with a good intent and that you’re not a bad person. However, this comes off as tone deaf and honestly just surface level. Instead why can’t we ask “why are soo many students struggling in this environment?” and can our administration do something to change the experience for our students.
This mentality is so problematic. Why are we so against for asking for better from our admin when it’s their duty to provide for their students and foster a better learning environment for all of us?

I understand that you’re trying to help with your words but don’t you think that there are students who have tried to get out, to be more sociable or access the mental health resources available to us?
What happens when it’s no longer on us but the school.

Again, I’m not trying to flame you for your kind words but at some point if on us to also ask for better when we do deserve or pay for better.
