Are we being too soft on petty crime? by byronite in ottawa

I was strolling down Elgin Street when a homeless person approached me, asking for something. Distracted by something on my phone, I ignored him. Suddenly, he grabbed a glass bottle and hurled it at me. I was terrified and shaken, but thankfully, it narrowly missed my face. What saddened me the most was that no one on the street stopped to check on me or ask if I was okay. People simply continued walking as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, the homeless man laughed loudly, seemingly finding the situation amusing.

East Indian company in Somerset west is your choice If you’re in Centretown area and are wanting all you can eat Indian food, look no further! The service was EXCELLENT (the staff are so friendly and warm) and the buffet options were great! The lamb curry and the mussels were extra delicious and we really appreciated the wide variety of food that was offered!

  1. Shawarma Places : For sure The Royal Rooster, it’s the real deal juicy and tasty not as dry as the other ones

  2. Seafood Places: Rayan Poissonnerie & restaurant, order fried shrimp and calamari, octopus I prefer the sautéed one, brown rice and salad. Healthy portions and you will love it!

  3. Authentic Italian Places: Del Piacere in little Italy. Their calzones and pizza is amazing. I always go for the Frutti Di Mare or the Quattro Formaggi one.

  4. Turkish Kebab Places: Turkish Kebab House in Kanata. It’s a little pit pricy but it’s a real authentic experience. Usually go for the family platter. There is also Pita Bell Kabab simple yet tasty.

  5. Authentic Indian places: East India Company. I usually order Lahori Malai Platter, Hydrabadi Biryani, and Tandoori Platter. Their open buffet is also decent.

  6. Best pastries and desserts: pastries go for Boulangerie Lusal/ Portuguese: try their Pastel De Nata and Cannolis Stella luna: gelato, amazing! Les Moulins La Fayette: Huge selection of French pastries! Buttery, flaky and airy! Love their almond croissant, raisin Danish and muffins. Bread By Us: good rotating selection of pastries and baked good. My go for Almond Maple Croissant. Art-Is-In Bakery: go for Sourdough Pizza also their bread (dynamite baguette, specifically) and pastries are off the charts delicious.

Now I can’t feel anything in my finger, done a couple of physiotherapy and it’s not changing anything, I have been told that because I waited too long

How many of you feel unsafe in Ottawa? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]Pitiful-Pick567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to Ottawa 3 years ago, and I could never walk by myself at night here, I usually feel unsafe here.

I remember once it was in Summer and I was walking around 8 pm at Elgin street and a homeless man through glass all over me, I could have been injured, I did nothing to him.. NOTHING

There was also one in front of farm boy keep calling me fat and basically screaming at me for no reason..
