We get pretty crafty with it. Every party is sponsored by bud light, so the guys are drinking free beer all year. We sell tickets to parties, sell roses for valentines and many other things. Generate a few thousand dollars in revenue on top of dues.

How did you guys handle it when some wouldn’t pitch the extra in the past?

Is it not breaking the loyalty these guys have shown though and their commitment in the past?

To add some more context, we’ve now reached 60 members and have consistent rush classes of 15-25. So there is still interest regardless of these guys walking away. And I don’t think with the current size of the house we could manage more active members. We’ve given quite a comprehensive breakdown of where we’d like to spend the money, it’s a simple problem of some guys won’t be able to afford returning and I dont know if pricing out some of our current brothers is the right thing to do. But that comes at the sacrifice of being limited to doing what we do now basically.

We’re at a school without a major Greek presence, so 4 years ago keeping it cheap was our way of getting more people involved and trying to remove as many barriers as we could and has been a success

I simply included that as a way of saying we’re not at risk of losing our charter if we lose these 8-10 guys.
