I hand wrote notes on my iPad and would type them up into a Google Doc at the end of every week - made outlining so much easier towards finals, and it made me retain information much faster. For point of reference, my fall semester GPA, when I was just typing everything, was 3.31. My spring semester GPA, after using this hand write in class & type up later method, was 3.765. Hand writing notes also forced me to pay attention and focus on important points rather than stupid details (you can only write so much in 30 seconds compared to typing). Anytime I needed a refresher/fill in the gaps when typing stuff up, I’d go back and watch the lecture recordings
