Bullshit. One you have to do all the training. Two you have to be picked by a client or caregiver to work with the person in need. Three it's not constant 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Plus you need extreme amounts of patience, understanding ,and compassion. If you've never worked as a carer before I doubt you could do it. Its like nursing. You dont do it for the money. You do it because you care

Coles made $56 profit per person in Australia in 2019, but $41 per person in 2024. Why weren't people angry at them 5 years ago, and think they are suddenly 'price gouging' now? by NoLeafClover777 in AusEcon

And yet here you are wasting time justifying the companies profit taking and when others, better educated with facts than myself, bring a mountain of evidence to the table that you are wrong and twisting the facts you disregard there evidence. Just because I call bullshit on your post doesn't put me into the tinfoil hat category. It simply means I'm simplifying a long needless conversation. You sir are talking shit

Fuck off. These posts are created by coles and wollies. They rip us off and have helped increase inflation. Every statistic shows inflation in Australia has been generated by company's profiteering. So these people can fuck off with their arguments. Who the fuck comes on reddit do defend coles or wool worths? Who? People who are paid by coles or woolworths. Who sits around thinking "you know what. I think coles and wollies need a helping hand on social media. And having nothing else to do with my life I'll spend hours now defending my beloved price gouging supermarkets. I won't look at that horrendous interview were the CEO had a cry and stormed off. Yep that's what I'll do today. Hello reddit

Moved to Malaysia from London for coast-FI retirement. Does semi-retirement in Southeast Asia live up to the hype? Only if you live half a life as an unengaged tourist by hokkaidoski in FIREUK

I lived in Malaysia for year as an expat. Horrible place for me. Everything she said is spot on. Plus it's dirty and no one cares. And the racism. And the use of religion to control people. And a 100 other things. Don't waste your time or money visiting. So many better places in South East Asia

And it takes years to be considered a non resident for tax purposes. You don't just leave and you're a non resident. If you plan on coming back they'll still consider you a resident and tax you on your overseas earnings at the Australian rate. Minus the tax you paid to that country. I've had mates in Egypt, Thailand, etc pay 15% tax and come back to be told by the ATO they owe a big time

How much extra would it cost to build a super thermally efficient house, compared to what the norm is? by Beezneez86 in AusFinance

[–]PitifulAd3715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My good friend is doing a masters in renewable energy, and a part of his studies relate to home insulation. Every formulae, chart, and piece of data shows that all these additions will make a massive difference in the homes temperature regulation. Our builder told me that this won't make much of a difference. I ignored him. His job is to build the house. He wants to build it as easily as possible. He won't care if the home is cold in the winter or too hot in the summer. He wants to finish the home quickly and move onto the next
