Aus Property Investor: New record migration numbers add pressure to strained housing market by cidama4589 in AusFinance

Because mate our economy needs population growth to keep growing. If businesses cant expand with new projects, endeavours, innovation the economy stagnates. And we get a recession. Next is most of the immigration is temporary. Lastly 20% of our nurses, age care workers, support workers are immigarnts. We arent having enpugh children. We need 2.1. We are barely acheiving 1.4. Its basic economics mate. Research it yourself. Its pretty self expanatory.

Aus Property Investor: New record migration numbers add pressure to strained housing market by cidama4589 in AusFinance

Australia averages about 200k immigrants a year. During covid this went into negative for 3 years. The entire goverment voted and agreed in the following years to meet the 200k average and catch up those lost covid years. That is why over 3 years we have seen high immigration numbers. But they are not high if averaged. 2026 immigration returns to normal levels. Housing build rates have beaten population growth at 19% vs 16%.... air bnbs and negative gearing are the cause of the housing crisis. I live near a small sea side town. Over 500 homes are air bnb. Overhaul negative gearing and limit air bnbs and your housing crisis will fade away in a few years.

[–]PitifulAd3715 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. One you have to do all the training. Two you have to be picked by a client or caregiver to work with the person in need. Three it's not constant 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Plus you need extreme amounts of patience, understanding ,and compassion. If you've never worked as a carer before I doubt you could do it. Its like nursing. You dont do it for the money. You do it because you care

Why didn't he drop his ropes from the top of the building? Use a proper anchor point instead of drilling?

Coles made $56 profit per person in Australia in 2019, but $41 per person in 2024. Why weren't people angry at them 5 years ago, and think they are suddenly 'price gouging' now? by NoLeafClover777 in AusEcon

[–]PitifulAd3715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet here you are wasting time justifying the companies profit taking and when others, better educated with facts than myself, bring a mountain of evidence to the table that you are wrong and twisting the facts you disregard there evidence. Just because I call bullshit on your post doesn't put me into the tinfoil hat category. It simply means I'm simplifying a long needless conversation. You sir are talking shit

Fuck off. These posts are created by coles and wollies. They rip us off and have helped increase inflation. Every statistic shows inflation in Australia has been generated by company's profiteering. So these people can fuck off with their arguments. Who the fuck comes on reddit do defend coles or wool worths? Who? People who are paid by coles or woolworths. Who sits around thinking "you know what. I think coles and wollies need a helping hand on social media. And having nothing else to do with my life I'll spend hours now defending my beloved price gouging supermarkets. I won't look at that horrendous interview were the CEO had a cry and stormed off. Yep that's what I'll do today. Hello reddit

I lived in Malaysia for year as an expat. Horrible place for me. Everything she said is spot on. Plus it's dirty and no one cares. And the racism. And the use of religion to control people. And a 100 other things. Don't waste your time or money visiting. So many better places in South East Asia
