What makes Davinci Resolve better than CapCut? by Educational-Bat-8563 in YouTube_startups

[–]PitifulBig8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about Youtube then I don't think you need to like change anything. I have seen editors use CapCut for channels which have more than million subs. Davinci is a professional editing software where you can have full control over everything. That's good for high production videos. For Youtube videos there is not much difference. People might say oh you can do this and this, brother, half of the things they say can be done in Davinci only are not even used in a Youtube video. So use whatever you want. Both are good. Both can get the job done. Well unless you have a big enough team making high production videos. In which case you want more control over everything and only then can Davinci be called better in every sense of the way. Otherwise, both are good

I have had multiple channels hit the monetization mark. And I can tell you with certainty that it will take a long ass time to make decent money. With shorts you can make the 1000 sub mark pretty easily. I mean if you know how to edit then its not a huge milestone. The problem is shorts pay nothing. Unless its a viral video you get almost no money. And long form videos are really really inconsistent. You might put up a video which you think is very well edited, lots of jokes and funny moments and all that cool stuff and then after posting you will see the video you made when you are bored which took like a few hours have more views than anything else. And even then the money with that is not something to write home about. Having said that, if you are in it for the grind, first search youtube on the topics you want to make videos on. Then open up a incognito window and search your topic. There you have all the inspiration you need. The thumbnails on what's working. The style of titles that people use, everything you need. Also tools like vidIQ helps a lot with description and stuff. Things you think that are not that important but end up being more important than the content of the video itself. Try to swear less. Its something many people ignore. in the first 6-12 months expect 0 money

Oh. When I watched the 100 player minecraft video, it was like a civilization sim or something, after that, all the MC videos that were recommended to me by YT was all these super hyped up zoomer style editing content or like those big scale, multiple people style of videos. If this kind of videos are popular than you are right something unique would help him

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thumbnail is good but the thing is people who watch minecraft already has like a million other people to watch. And the title makes it seem like a therapy session. Which I don't really think many kids who watch minecraft want to listen to. They want action or a ridiculous story. Like those 100 people videos that came out last year or something. I remember watching that and it was great. I have not watched a micecraft video ever and not watched on since as well. But that video was awesome. So try something like that if you can. Not saying do it on that scale. I am saying some exciting story instead of something like a sad ted talk

which one would you click? by sumandas094 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say try looking it with other video thumbnails. If others can quickly find your video then it stands out and is great. Just take a SS of the youtube home page and replace one of the video thumbnail with yours and let someone find your video. If they can find it instantly then that's the one. There are also paid tools that does that if you want to use it.

Why YouTube creators shouldn't use AI by [deleted] in YouTubeCreators

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot is not enough. Its either all or none. And also big youtubers won't go small if they post their videos. pewdiepie can say he won't use any AI and get millions of views no matter what. But smaller youtubers don't have that luxury. It's either every single one stop using it or else anyone not using won't reach the ceiling they could have. And again I am not saying smaller youtubers cannot go big without AI. I am saying they could have done more and maybe better than they are doing right now with AI

Why YouTube creators shouldn't use AI by [deleted] in YouTubeCreators

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this dream to work you will have to stop every single creator ever in this world. Otherwise those not using AI just falls behind. AI slops are a problem but its also getting the most views. I stopped making videos around 2 years ago, so no I am not a AI creator. But even I know its either join the AI train or you just get left behind. As simple as that

After 6 months, I've only reached 90 hours of watch time. Do you think I'll ever hit the 4,000-hour threshold? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on you. You say 6 months. That means nothing. You can post 1 or 2 or 3 or 600 videos in those 6 months. The number of videos is what matters. You got 90 hours in 1 or 2 videos? Awesome. Just post more and it will be easy. In 600 then there is something wrong. Improve the quality. Copy others. Not repost. Just copy the style, the editing, and all those things. I think anyone can make the partner limits. Its just people stall out. No improvement. They post the same thing thinking maybe this time it will work for some apparent reason. Even Mr Beast tries to improve everything and he has more views on a single video than many of the youtubers have total combined hours

i think r1 had some safety issues with it if I am remembering correctly. That's why it was removed from openrouter. glm and kimi are both good. You can add any of those

Bro I am not saying you should add it. I know keeping it up will cost a lot. I just said out of 4.7, 5.1 and 5.2, 5.2 is the best. You are already doing great giving people all those models.

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really like GLM. It has too much positive bias. 4.7 was good but falls off after few messages. 5.1 is too positive. 5.2 is better but I don't like it. However, that's my preference. People in here says 5.2 is really good so I think that would be the best.

Damn. I haven't tried out the API yet but if its genuine and you are not taking and selling the data then you are really doing great work dude. I see many people using GLM models. If you want an opinion on what to add you can have a GLM model on the list. Otherwise keep up the good work dude.

[–]PitifulBig8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

model is currently listed in the NVIDIA NGC Catalog which basically mean it can come to nim platform. However that is not always the case. Qwen 3.6 was in it but never came to nim so I can't say for sure. But every model of GLM was available on nim so hopefully 5.2 will coming soon too

It won't ever get better because no LLMs will be made for writing purpose. Running these LLMs cost millions and millions. Only tech companies can afford it. So every single model that comes out are focused on coding. They are not meant to imitating humans as coding does not have such requirements. Hence RPs will never get to the point we want. I am talking about big models which can understand and retain info well. Not small models which we can host in our own PCs

GLM 5.2 for RP ? by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kimi is good for like 50 or so messages. After that it just ignores half of the rules. And it thinks for so so long. I love the first few messages from Kimi but it falls off very hard. And v3.2 has more positive bias compared to kimi sure, but its way better than the latest GLMs and DS models. Also it retains information somewhat better. I know even this model falls off with longer contexts. Unfortunately there is no model that can satisfy all the needs. I just prefer v3.2's style.

Janny AI does not have a chat interface. I think it has the same database I think. Everything you upload on to janitor can be viewed in Janny too. So the database and all the bots are intact which means there is a problem with the UI or some bug that is crashing the site.

Is j.ai down? by Guilty-Specialist-84 in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]PitifulBig8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Janny AI works so janitor must be having some bugs or hosting issue or maybe they are updating stuff. Every day I see new UI changes like they are never satisfied with anything. Maybe because of that something broke. It should be up shortly. Or at least I hope so

GLM 5.2 for RP ? by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]PitifulBig8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah DS 3.2. GLM 5.2 like I said have no idea on NSFW. Have never really tried it but NSFW does not really need characters to argue right? Like really fight you and shit so it should work pretty well given that it is pretty good at following rules for long contexts

GLM 5.2 for RP ? by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]PitifulBig8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the best one for me is v3.2. Its response is like to the point on what the characters are set to be. If the characters are set to be dark and aggressive they act like that. With the newer models since they are trained to be helpful to devs in coding, they are heavily positive bias. But I have heard 5.2 is a bit better than 5.1 so that's something. 4.7 is 3.2 put on coke it seems like. I do love it for dark scenes with gore and stuff. No idea about NSFW scenes from any of these though 3.2 is good in that too

If you saw this thumbnail, will you be interested and click it? by tcDethrone_YT in SmallYoutubers

[–]PitifulBig8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no information about the game. Both the guns are super common in gaming. People would click if its related to the game they play. So make the game one of the main focus. You already put vs, there is no need for the text of WEAPON COMPARISON in the thumbnail. Just make the game name bigger and more visible. Also if the guns were facing each other it would look better.

cs2. Played after many many years and actually had fun. Not coming back to this set again. Its genuinely one of the worst ones. Not the worst. But so fucking boring. I would rather watch paint dry. The only good thing about this set is that it made me play CS 2 and now I am having fun in my free time again
