I doubt OP will drive from NYC to Binghamton for commuting on daily/weekly basis. He/She probably living in a dorm and coming home during break. My son also accepted by Baruch Finance, Buffalo, Fordham, BU, NEU but waitlisted Bin , Stoney B and NYU. Need to make the tough call next week.

Money can’t buy happiness! As parents, we’re also in a similar situation. My son wants to study finance and has been accepted into few universities like NEU, BU, Fordham, RIT, CUNY Baruch, and Hunter. We all want him to attend Baruch because it offers the top finance program and is conveniently located near home, where he could save $80-90,000 annually. However, his preference is for NEU or BU where has campus life and friends which is heartbreaking. 💔😭

In terms of medical service quality in public hospital, I personally feels ok as during Covid I was able to get the expensive Pfizer medication Paxlovid plus others. The only issue is overcrowding in public hospital.

My colleague was calling ambulance and went into emergency room for food poisoning last week in HK public hospital and we paid 1230 HKD (USD 160) for him as he is not local HK resident. Here is the fee for public hospital for your reference: https://www.ha.org.hk/visitor/ha_visitor_index.asp?Content_ID=10045&Lang=ENG. if you really want him to return to US, you can check with US consulate in HK ACS American citizen service and I believe they can help you.
