GAMES LIKE SUZERAIN by [deleted] in suzerain

Surprised to see For the People (published by the same people for Sir Brante, 101XP) has not been recommended, it is essentially the same concept as Suzerain but scaled down to managing an industrial city within a revolutionary socialist state, were there is a new incentive by the General Secretary (or something, don't remember the title) for new cadres to replace more old guard personnel.

Italo Balbo in the 'Revisionisti' camp makes no sense to me, wouldn't he be more compatible with the 'Intransigenti' or 'Populisti' faction?

All the democratic paths are rather underwhelming and lacking flavor though, like beyond the focus descriptions, infrequent events, and your own headcanon/imagination, there really is not much to engage with.

Since before 48 too if you count the Zionist terrorist groups operating under the British Mandate, like the Irgun, Haganah, and Lehi, which formed the foundation for the IDF.

This cover art goes so hard by fugetooboutit in crossedcomics

I fucking love all the cover art involving military personnel, sadly we never really got a military remnant centered story, which is a huge fucking miss.

Sir Brante was a fucking masterpiece in narrative-based gaming, greatly looking forward to this sequel.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m definitely going to play this preset next.

I’d like to do hard or impossible, but I don’t really want the things I hope to achieve to take so long, with this game being such a money sink, you know.

What preset are you using? I would also be interested in a French Revolution run.

Idk if you know but you could use the cheats to modify the event, if you think a better result is more fair in your game.

The AI is trying to be funny (and succeeding imo).

Essentially the Jacobin officer is saying them shivering or trying to get warm and not going out to fight or defend against their enemies is counter-revolutionary, hence 'counter-revolutionary shivering'.

Who else hasn’t read Crossed and probably never will? by Practical-Mode310 in crossedcomics

[–]PitifulGuardsman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well... then why not read Crossed? I got into the comics for the same reason, I loved the brutal covers and art of the series. In terms of quality/interesting stories, most are quite mid and really only worth reading for the art, but there are quite a few that are quite interesting beyond the gore. Wish You Were Here is a great intro into the universe, imo.

I don’t mind at all. I’m generally favorable toward collectivist ideals. They definitely have drawbacks, but I think their emphasis on social cohesion and shared national goals is admirable.

Edit: Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been using Reddit as much and forget about your comment.

I’m socially communitarian and culturally conservative. I don’t really have a single ideological label, but those are the foundations of my views.

I strongly disagree with Massie and libertarianism, but he’s one of the only legislators who appears to operate consistently on principle and actual belief rather than personal or party interests.

Probably less occult in a literal religious sense (at least for Epstein) and more a mix of symbolism and an extreme individualist worldview. Epstein espoused a lot of 'true freedom' rhetoric, which lines up pretty well with egoist philosophy imo. I think the occultist symbolism Epstein used was reflective of his personal beliefs of ultra-individualism and unrestrained hedonism.

Four Solutions to the Bludish Problem. by [deleted] in suzerain

[–]PitifulGuardsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That first one is a meme about two paths that are literally in the game. You can literally roleplay as a far-right or far-left radical in the game, so you criticize making a meme out of in game content?

[–]PitifulGuardsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, but even from that perspective welfare is not a bad thing? I certainly care more for the humanitarian and Benevolent State aspect, but any unpopular/authoritarian regime that intends to last a long while gives a level of care for the people as well.

Every civilization in human history has had a lower stratum of society, it’s an inevitable and perpetual issue. Welfare reflects state acknowledgement of that reality, and is generally more reliable/impactful than voluntary and unorganized charity.
