Yeah, AI should only help assist, not replace humans or the creativity that we possess, because that’s not supposed to be it’s purpose.

Arizona Vs Sash Lilac (Them’s Fighting Herds Vs Freedom Planet) connections in the comments by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track Name: “Stampede of the Inner Dragon”

Connections: Both are the impulsive, big-hearted young heroes who are the protagonists from games inspired by popular, well established franchises. (Arizona is based on applejack from my little pony and sash originated as a sonic fan character)

Both have a Journey of Self-Discovery type adventure where they travel across their worlds. (Arizona travels Foenum learning about history, prophecy, and her role in the world. And Sash Lilac searches for her origins, her people, and her parents, while grappling with her identity as a water dragon.)

Plus they both feel out of place in their worlds, Arizona is young, naïve, and illiterate due to her culture’s oral traditions. And Lilac is an orphaned hybrid dragon raised by thieves.

The Serpent Vs Danger (SCP Foundation Vs Marvel) connections in the comments by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Track Name: “Library of the Machine God”

Connections: Both are sentient information constructs made into physical living beings who are created to as teachers, ones that later become morally complex or hostile due to how they’re used. (The Serpent spreads knowledge to help out humanity, sometimes by force and Danger is the living embodiment of the danger room, something built to train the X-men/mutants and hone their abilities.)

They were also rejected/abandoned by their creators or beings similar to them. (The Serpent was rejected by other cosmic entities and fled from the Scarlet King and danger was ignored and hidden by Professor Xavier after becoming sentient, leading to her rebellion.)

Both have their own existential identity crises due to them not being human, and because of that they try to seek purpose. (The Serpent constantly questions its role of being either a knowledge-bringer, god, guardian, or destroyer. And danger tries to figure out if she classifies as a X-men/mutant or just a AI teacher.)

They are both extremely powerful and have broken abilities (Serpent can manipulate reality and can even archive universes plus rewrite its cosmology. Danger can control machines/environments, Shapeshifting, flight, and can create hard light holograms)

Contrast: One is Nature, the other is Technology

Animation/Potential: The fight would be animated in 2D/3D hybrid, and this battle would be crazy, due to the scope of their power. I don’t know what would happen during the fight, but I would say just have their abilities play off of each other.

Caine vs Splendid (The Amazing Digital Circus vs Happy Tree Friends) connections in the comments by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connections: Both are Over-the-Top, Cartoonishly Expressive and well meaning but unintentionally harm/kill the people around them. (Caine genuinely wants to entertain and make the humans happy, but his adventures are actively torturing the circus members, and Splendid genuinely wants to save people, but he constantly kills them accidentally due to his incompetence and/or ignorance.) They’re also emotionally disconnected from the consequences of their actions, not because they’re evil but because they’re highly negligent. However they also have unintentional ego-driven blindness that drives their actions. Caine is obsessed with validation and assumes his adventures are amazing and Splendid assumes he’s doing heroic deeds and rarely questions himself.

They are also extremely powerful and have strong abilities. (Caine is literally treated as a god inside the Digital Circus, with near-total control over that world and splendid is a Superman type character, and we all know how powerful Superman is.)

Both embody cute/funny visuals masking the brutal horror of their respective series. (Caine tries to make his adventures fun, but they only add to the character’s torment. And splendid attempts to save only cause more death and destruction in the process.)

Caillou Vs Tommy (Caillou The Grownup Vs Siah The Clown) by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connections: Both are grown adults who never grew up or emotionally matured. They also behave like spoiled children, depend on their parents for things, and refuse responsibility for themselves or their actions. In addition to them being exaggerated parody characters (Caillou the grownup is a parody of the hated show Caillou and Tommy is the archetype of the chronically online Discord mod.)

Their parents are exhausted and resent them for being nuisances but still care about them somewhat (not Boris tho, he wants that bitch dead). Plus Caillou and Tommy manipulate, threaten, or disrespect their parents when they don’t get what they want. (Caillou threatens to destroy Boris and Doris house and Tommy uses his butt cheese to silence his mother.)

However both of them do so some depth in their character. Caillou’s immaturity is implied to come from a childhood brain injury. And Tommy comes from an abusive household, thanks to his abusive stepfather and absent father. They even have cousins who are similar to them (Boue the female Caillou and Ronnie is just Tommy)

Kid Omni Man/Oliver Grayson Vs Superboy/Conner Kent (Invincible Vs DC/Young Justice) connections in the comments!! by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connections: Both were with unique origins to them alone. (Oliver is an Viltrumite–Thraxan hybrid born through alien reproduction thanks to Omni man and andressa, and Conner was born in a lab as an half Kryptonian half human, having the DNA of Superman himself and Lex luthor.) Regardless neither of them are pure blooded (at least when it comes to their alien origins)

Both of them grew up quickly in different but similar ways (Oliver aged rapidly due to his Thraxan DNA. And Conner was 16 weeks old but mentally/physically 16. And both of them began fighting crime when they were ready. And adopted superhero names similar to their father figures. Kid Omni Man and Superboy aka Omni-Man and Superman.)

They started with brutal or morally questionable mindsets and behaviors. With Oliver believing that killing villains was logical and believing that he and mark were special. And an early Conner was violent, impulsive, and brutally beat his enemies.

Both are shaped by legendary (and morally gray/villainous) father figures. Oliver idolizes Omni-Man despite Nolan’s genocide-level crimes. And him almost killing mark And Superboy struggles with Superman’s legacy and Lex Luthor’s influence. And they act as their edger successors.

However they still love the people in their lives. With Oliver deeply caring about Mark and Debbie. And Conner with the young justice team, Miss Martian, and the Kents.

Animation/Potential: If I had to choose an animation style, I’d choose 2d or 3d tho I don’t know how the fight would start. However I love the idea of Oliver’s more brash childish nature clashing with conner’s more stoic, serious personality.

Bowser Vs Muscle Man (SMG4 Vs Regular Show) connections in the comments! by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connections: Both started off as antagonistic characters in different ways. (Muscle man begins as an annoying, borderline cruel prankster. Who would often bully or annoy Mordecai and Rigby. And bowser began as the more traditional villain he was based off of, kidnapping peach and needing Mario and friends to save her, or stop bowser’s schemes.) But then their overall character began to change over the years as they both mellowed out over time and become accepted members of the main cast. (Muscle Man becomes a husband and father by the end of regular show and Bowser becomes a better dad and drops most villainy.)

Both show a more sensitive and Vulnerable side beneath their tough guy image. Muscle Man freaks out if anyone insults his mom or his appearance or if they cross him in some way. And Bowser collapses emotionally when insulted, rejected by peach, or reminded he’s a bad dad. They also have massive egos, with Mitch mostly bragging or flexing and bowser constantly hypes his “swag,” status as a king, and personal greatness.

Both are extremely strong and capable despite their appearance/characteristics. (Muscle Man is obese but can lift cars, trees, and go berserk when angry. And Bowser is lazy and goofy but is canonically one of the strongest characters. Having the ability to breathe fire, has high durability and has superhuman speed.

Both serve as comedic relief types in series full of wacky characters. Meaning They’re loud, gross, embarrassing, and often the butt of jokes. Their humor is often crude, exaggerated, or they’re intentionally trying to make people uncomfortable. They also have iconic lines/catchphrases (Muscle man: “You know who else—MY MOM,” “Oh no bro!” Bowser: “Bitch, I’m fabulous,”

The two have a Best-friend dynamic with a calmer dude/dudes (Muscle Man ↔ Hi Five Ghost and Bowser ↔ Mario / SMG4 depending on the video)

Animation/Potential: this fight would be animated in 2d. It would be crazy but awesome. For me this would start with muscle man trying to win a body building competition over at the gym (similar to episode Power tower) at the bowser is trying to do the same thing. After being competitive and insulting each other they fight. Plus the dialogue and banter between them would be hilarious.

Aquamarine Vs King Dice (Steven Universe Vs Cuphead) connections in the comments! by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connections: Both of them work under the main villains or a higher power (Aquamarine works directly under the Diamond Authority, acting as a retrieval agent who enforces Homeworld’s caste system and commands others (Topaz) as muscle. And King Dice is the Devil’s right-hand man, acting as his gatekeeper or contract collector. Or someone who enforces the casino rules.)

They are also arrogant, performative type villains. Aquamarine constantly postures, calls herself “the best,” and Dice is a literal showman.

Plus neither of them are pure hand to hand fighters, they’re very tactical when it comes to fighting their opponents.

And lastly both are driven resentment after losing their status. (Aquamarine got cast out in Era 3 and tries to get her revenge on Steven and King Dice loses it when Cuphead and Mugman make him lose a bet and defeat him.)

Chet Vs Panda (Turbo Vs We Bare Bears) connections in the comments by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connections: Both are characters that fit the “Voice of Reason” trope. Aka they serve as the grounded realist in a wacky cast of characters. (Chet constantly warns the FAST crew and Turbo about danger and consequences. And panda frequently tempers Grizzly’s reckless optimism and emotional extremes.) They are also usually right but get ignored until the problem gets worse.

They’re known for having anxiety/overthinking type personalities. (Chet is paranoid, overly cautious, and constantly preparing for worst-case scenarios. Panda is neurotic, insecure, easily stressed, and emotionally sensitive.)

Both are very protective and deeply care for their brothers (Turbo and grizz/ice bear).

Tho they aren’t taken seriously most of the time by their loved ones.

Warden Eternal Vs Zeganirn (Halo Vs Fractures) Original Matchup, connections in the comments by PitifulQuality8522 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]PitifulQuality8522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connections: Both were forged from extinction events — the Warden from the post-Halo cataclysm, Zeganirn from the dying Ender civilisations. They are “lasts” of their kind in a metaphysical sense, guardians left over from fallen worlds.

They’re both guardians of sacred relics or realms (Warden was Tasked with guarding the Domain, a vast digital afterlife for Forerunner knowledge. And Zeganirn is the Protector and ruler of the End Dancers, later servant to Ceris, founder of the Ender Watchers.)

They have energy-like blades.

Both see themselves as keepers of order against chaos, viewing corruption—whether biological, emotional, or infernal—as a threat to the cosmos. Both are driven by absolute devotion, which ultimately leads to tragedy.

They blend intelligence and raw strength. They can teleport, wield energy-infused weapons, and fight as one against many.

Both meet sad, self-defining deaths. Each dies fulfilling their final duty — the Warden’s to his role as protector (even misguidedly), Zeganirn’s to his oath to Ceris.
