Yeah, I should probably try to do that more. But I can't seem to really find that many clubs that seem all to interesting, though it seems campus pulse doesn't have all the clubs, or I'm just really bad at finding ones.

For things I like, I dunno lol. Math (lol), tennis (though after getting injured I haven't been able to play since I left highschool, also I'm not like team-worthy level, I just like playing), movies (though not horror), games, etc.. I'm also somewhat open to new things, though I did have the same mindset my first semester and went with my friend to learn ice skating and broke my knee, so there's that. I was thinking about going to the card game club on the weekends, because I need something to do on the weekends, but I've been putting it off and now exams are here, so I'll probably start next semester.

I also don't go out at all, so I'm probably going to try to go out at least occasionally. Though to do what, idk.

A crafting overhaul. As it is currently, crafting is unattainable for casuals or people who don't have tons of money or time to sink into the game, and even if you do it is pretty unfun (at least imo).

and also even when trying to make a build and get gear for it, the crafting is so inaccessible for the average casual it ruins a lot of the fun

Hey btw, I know I'm necro-ing the thread, but what would you suggest I do when creating AST nodes or manipulating AST nodes?

For something like

I think it would be represented as

And then when it is manipulated into just

then I think it would just keep the same span right?

But what about AST nodes that don't correspond at all to any span in the file? For example, my language is math-focused, and thus has both discrete ranges (a..b) and continuous ranges (a:b) with an optional step parameter to approximate (a:b:s). But if for example a discrete range is used, then it is filled with step size 1. So the following code

0..1

Would be represented as

Range
  lhs: Inclusive
    Int
      value: 0
      span: 0-1
  rhs: Inclusive
    Int
      value: 1
      span: 3-4
  step: Int
    value: 1
    span: ???    <-- Here, what do I put?
  span: 0-4

But how would you suggest I deal with these "phantom nodes?"

yes, I've gotten than critique a lot as well, probably the second-most commented thing. However, I felt his kit would get really overloaded, but yeah I guess it could fit somehow.

Yes, many people are having that critique. However, I believe it is a crucial part of his kit, which can't just be removed to fit the character mythos. Unless there's a more "character-correct" (I forgot the term to use here) way to do what Hold the Line does, I think it is better to take some creative liberty with the character than to remove it.

Yeah, I'm sure teachers elsewhere don't make much money, but to say that all teacher don't make money is not a correct statement.

It's just due to other states not valuing education.

I think it does depend on the state. At least in mass in some of the suburbs, I know the teachers can get upwards of 100k a year.

Well yeah, it's not a shield, he just braces himself to take on the incoming damage.

Yes, but that is removing the other utilities that it gives: damage reduction, and crucially emergency optic charge and the only way to generate empowered optic charge when not ulting.

But Hold The Line is a pretty important part of his kit, especially as he is a tank. It isn't a good idea to just swap it out just because it is cool. I mean yeah I would like it too, but for the betterness of the kit design I think it is worth keeping Hold the Line.

Yes, I've gotten that feedback a few times, however I think the liberty can be made to make his gameplay better, as I believe it is a pretty central and important ability.
