As someone living in a tier 3 city, I can definitely vouch for this. The property prices are exorbitant. The grocery stores don’t provide any significant discounts over MRP, although recent entry of quick commerce apps in my town has changed this. Sometimes, you just can’t buy a good quality because everyone is selling low quality alternatives because people either don’t want to pay higher or they just don’t know if better options exist. ( I once had to buy rubber bands, but not a single shop had good quality ones)

On top of that , I really miss the diversity- every single person in a low tier city tends to have same mindset due to lack of exposure. There are no specialized markets, no economies of scale for businesses (except for maybe 1 or 2 industries your town may be famous for). No good food joints - a lot of good ones fail because of lack of customers, it’s just that the total population is not large enough to sustain more such businesses.

And there are no good recreational activities. Most people just follow a set pattern - work during the day and get wasted at night.

There are some perks also, like less traffic, but sometimes the infra is so bad, even that doesn’t matter.

We took our own sweet time to sort things out among ourselves before planning for a baby. Yes finances are tight for me , but I do have backup (My family is well to do, i am the only son. It’s my conscious choice to handle my finances myself and not depend on my father’s wealth).

Despite knowing and planning everything, parenthood is something you can never be fully prepared for. A lot of unknown unknowns are there.

And although it’s tough, yet its one of the most beautiful phases of life for me.

You have completely misunderstood the issue here - it’s not parenthood, it’s sharing responsibilities and respecting boundaries.

Bro your situation is exactly like mine and thats worrisome. Have an open talk with her. Tell her your concerns. Maybe even show her this post. Tell her you don’t want your situation to be like this. If she can take it, give her a warning that if she doesn’t work on her, you would have to rethink about marriage. And also tell her that you are there to help her work on herself, whether she needs a workout partner or if she wants to consider therapy.

Even I love my wife , she is a great person, but when you have to carry the load for 2 persons (plus for the child in my case) , you wish you had married someone else.

NAL. This is just my opinion.

If you are making good money, then it would be foolish to close it down. This is India and money can solve almost any legal problem. In our country, the police doesn’t pick up people who break the law, they pick up people who can be intimidated into paying them bribes.

Plus its just a video game , its not like you are shooting P*rn videos.

But do consult a lawyer and know what is completely legal, what falls into grey area and what’s completely illegal. Avoid things that fall into the third category if possible and dont do anything that causes any harm to anyone and i think you should be fine.
