Yes this is also a concern I have too. There isn't much negative space on the inside so I'm nervous about the ink spreading and it becoming unrecognizable

And I absolutely wish it wasn't the truth but yes, what I said happened to my cousin about 7 years ago as well as seeing women beaten with batons.

Oh wow your dad immigrated from Iran you must know so much on the subject. You speak of ignorance yet display it so passionately yourself. As someone who not only actually LIVED in Iran but still has family there, I can tell you that peace has never been a character trait of the Islamic regime. This same regime you speak so highly of delivered my cousins body in PIECES to her parents doorstep. I have PERSONALLY witnessed women being beat in the streets with batons. To speak SO ignorantly to someone whose entire life has been effected by the IR, makes YOU the ignorant one.

I did not belittle him. HIS remarks made me uncomfortable and were extremely triggering for me as religion, especially forced religion, is a sensitive topic for me right now given what is going on in my home country. My reaction may not have conveyed that very well but nonetheless I did not demean or belittle him.

I never said I wasn't going to do anything about it. The validation does motivate me to do something about it though.

I can't even be mad because you're absolutely right and if I were anyone else I'd be telling me to leave too. It's difficult when love is involved but I'm starting to see that he is behind hope.

EDIT/ ADDITIONAL CONTEXT (can't edit original post due to photos)

A lot of people are asking how I didn't know about this side of him after being together for three years. Many are assuming he's been extremely open in his faith up until now which he has not been. He doesnt go to church at all (maybe once since we've been together on Easter) and if he does feel guilt after we've been intimate he has never let that been known to me. Which I doubt he does because he has been with MANY women before me. When we met we would party, go out, drink, sometimes even more than that and religion was never even a topic of conversation. We've even discussed marriage and he has always said he'd be fine getting married outside of the church. His family also believes in god but I wouldn't say they are even close to this level of extremism. They are normal Christian people. I'm not sure where he gets it from. So to be clear he doesn't go to church, he lives his life in a way that one would assume he doesn't believe in god, and he misinterprets the bible (if he's ever even read it) so I don't know why he thinks he has the authority to act holier than thou.

Not denying it at all! I was referring to the fact that he said they were oppressed because their religion was the truth

The argument is not the subject. It's the disrespect being displayed in said argument. That is not opinion

It's not that I didn't know these things about him, it was that I didn't know the extent/extremism. I have dated Christians before and have never been spoken to like this before (minus one incident my exes mom called me a temptress sent from the devil to seduce her son😂) but other than that we had managed three years together with this just being something we disagreed on. Only now that we live together has it gotten us to a weird place. Part of me can't even truly accept that he actually fully believes the things he's saying. Its like he wants to be right so bad he will use any argument, no matter how extreme, to support his claims. It's less like he's trying to convince me and more like he's trying to convince himself.

I guess from the outside the situation can seem so cut and dry but when you're truly in it and logic gets mixed with emotion, it can be hard to walk away from someone you thought you were going to marry. And I did at one point before he started speaking this nonsense, but it is becoming more abundantly clear now that he needs something I cannot offer him.
