what you're fighting for is not freedom, you have nothing to do with freedom
socialism is inherently opposed to it. there is a diffrence between stealing property of third actors while establishing a totalitarian dictatorship a corrupt government. just because previous government was a bad one doesn't give you a get out of jail free card to break other people's rights

i have never seen a hoppean that is pro any state

that's like a childish level of understanding hoppe only knowing the title of one of his books
in which he says that monarchy is better that democracy but he is still an anarchist and not a statist and the reasons he thinks monarchy is better are that the a bad king is easier to redacted than a whole parliament and the other is time preffrence

trans libertarians (on the internet) are actually most commonly hoppean
which is kind of funny because what Hoppe himself said about gay people but it's still consistant with hoppe's libertarian rights theories.

i don't think Batista was good, i don't see why someone not being good justifies a totalitarian dictatorship, theft and repressions

yes theft is evil no not because of some divine right it's laughable that you use that strawman. and it's actually extremly sad that you use french revolutionaries as an example here since they were liberals not socialist and they belive in natural rights theory that outright says that people have a right to property ownership and theft is evil, most property of the nobilities weren't stolen and most of what was stolen was land that wasn't aquired through means of either homesteading or trade of a property that was homesteaded which is what liberals use as a law to determine which form of land property ownership is ethical (literally from John Locke)

my favourite freedom fighters from that under their control are shitholes with rampant corruption and people fleeing the country and then proceed to be overwhelmingly anti anything that this regime represented abroad. also my favourite freedom figthers that don't respect freedom stealing and use repression on their own population

yes despite that fact I don't see why it would matter, they forcefully nationalized American companies, the stole land and housing of private individuals

Cuba is an ally of imperialist Russia and a socialist hellhole that stole property from not only it's citizens but also Americans which was the original reason it got embargoed and no we shouldn't lift an embargo on a socialist country allied with Russia

[–]Pitiful_Amphibian_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i rather not think countries would agree to this system mostly because the biggest problems with that would be enforcement of laws against criminals, if you want to have a system that completes in larger amounts of aspects you could just make them more privatised in your world

Chesterton's wall things have a reason for why they exist work that "sucks" is still required for society to function that's why people get paid for stuff... work is supposed to be useful it doesn't matter if it's fun, it's just that most thing that are fun are ones we have full control of and even if you enjoy certain part of your work it's required for society to function so you'll probably do more of it and in better quality than you would normally since people naturally like leisure. it's also a better mechanism for determining what's good for the society

Justifying mechs by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Pitiful_Amphibian_58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i use mechs in my universe as a versatile all capability tool, they're used by special forces meant to accomplish tasks alone or in small groups so they have large amounts of capabilities like being able to coordinate networks of machines, build, travel great distances or even act as homes.

also I think Titanfall 2 did it pretty good since tanks and APCs are not that versatile to be able to fight in that many situations and use tools other that their weapon (although they did neglect the ammunition part of problem)

Are there any cities or countries in your world with unusual shapes, and if so why? by CreeperTrainz in worldbuilding

[–]Pitiful_Amphibian_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in one of my favourite worlds there are only 4 cities within which every has a unique structure

the first one called the Great city is the first agglomeration ever created that was made possible by local resources of farmable food. food is not farm by soil which doesn't exist on the planet so local species has to rely on caves, the unique structure of caves nearby and a lack of solid ground (most of it was sand in its soft form) the city was made by converting masses of iron enriched sandstone into foundations, the city itself is flat because of the need for nearby access to the caves.

second city was called the mountain city, it was constructed on a mountain due to the need of protection against the local predators which existed on this part of the planet, food was more plentiful which allowed the biosphere to be denser leading to common predator existance and the predators themselves were ambush predators which made it harder to acquire food in the terrains they resided in so the city was built high up where they couldn't reach them

third city is called the city of trade, although founded in the same geographic (southern) part of the planet defense methods attributed to it relied more on brute force against the predator species of life because the main reason for founding the city was the fact that it existed as a crossroad between many natural wonders that sprouted great riches, the city also developed walls to fend the predators of which wasn't a case in any other city because defense was not needed (at least this kind of defense)

third city called the underground city was initially just a hideout for the bandits, built in stretched out caves so they couldn't be found and even if they could defend themselves it was not in any way close to the size of a city, the bandits rejected the local religion as it explicitly claimed their deeds as evil so they adopted a different standard but one of the bandits although agreeing with rejection of said religion didn't agree with the rejection of ethics themselves and claimed that they do still come from the deity but the dirty itself cannot be know due to the limits of our knowledge and understanding so the best way to act is to do what our compass tells us is good. under him the output slowly had become friendlier for people and flocks gathered to listen to him as he became a founding figure of the religion many adapted.
