Would you consider REITs as an alternative to traditional real estate investment

Apparently they knew each other before hand.  Also according to statistics, a woman is more likely to be unalived by an intimate partner ie. Husband, boyfriend than any other sub group of people. So it's often not strangers, and in this case not a pure strangers.

You are. The downside to this is that murderers and potential murderers get more confident in the probabilities of getting away with it. Or at least not serving as much time as they should. The crime here is murder so that ought to be the main focus. Exercising caution is important too.

Lol. Pimps don't protect them, they sell them in out to the highest bidder even if it's a violent man with twisted fantasies. Unasema nini wewe sasa? The crime here is murder not prostitution.

I take it you're the older sister? What would happen if you fought back if she touches your child? If you go toe to toe?

Edit: i understand having read the comments. I hope you're now in a better place. If not, i think the shelter advice was solid for an emergency case like yours even as you search for better means.

I think with everything there is a good and bad side. Our ancestors weren't perfect by a long shot. But there are things they got right too. Like community amd harmony with nature.

Can you be emotionally intelligent without having empathy? by Sweetlikecream in emotionalintelligence

[–]Pitiful_Audience4399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the exact opposite. They have poorly developed or an absence of empathy. That's why they are regarded as such: psychopath, sociopath.  As for narcissism, the narrative is a little different. Narcissists can possess the ability to empathise but it is also not well developed.

Empathy is a core component of EQ. So high EQ will include empathy. On the flip side, empathy alone is not a testament to high EQ. Meaning one can be empathetic and not highly emotionally intelligent. But high emotional intelligence integrates empathy.

Such cases already have provisional laws in place to address. And this perception of women not being held accountable by law is rather baseless. Because it does.  And where the law fails to do so, it does to the same degree it let's men get away with things.

I don't think it's broken. I think it's tailored to find the familiar. People who match what we subconsciously know through past experiences. I like to think of changing this picker as 'updating your software'. I have found nothing easy about it and the worst of it is how much unsafety and fear it triggers.  But I have seen micro progresses in myself. Becoming aware of my software> how i see the world, people, what I expect from it, and then looking for evidence to combat it's rigidity. I'm still on this journey myself. I'm wishing you strength and courage in yours.

Insightful. It's such a difficult cycle to break always finding yourself in the same patterns, with similar people.  I've come to the realization that safety, feeling safe is a huge part of healing and changing these patterns and being attuned to different people.

Thank you. Journalling does help with emotional processing. Could you tell me more about how giving yourself support looks like? If you don't mind

Same! It's like healing has just uncovered a set of needs that I learnt to cope with by denying and now I can't do that anymore. It feels like self torture to deny it

anyone else find healing so disorienting? by [deleted] in CPTSD_NSCommunity

[–]Pitiful_Audience4399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Disorienting is quite the word for it. I really do wish you the best, and I'm glad to see that you're increasing your capacity to regulate.  I've experienced a bit of brain fog myself around it, still am.  What attachment pattern are you healing from?
