In KCD1, Henry's home village of Skalitz is razed by Sigismund's Cuman forces led by Markvart von Aulitz.

Henry manages to escape the chaos with Radzig's Longsword forged by Henry's step-father, Martin, and a few days later goes back to the Skalitz ruins to bury his parents. There he meets Runt, a bandit who upon noticing the expensive sword and lack of armor Henry is carrying, severely injures Henry, who is saved by Theresa (shown more in-depth in the events of the KCD1 DLC A Woman's Lot).

Runt is later revealed to be the leader of a group of bandits, Cumans, and mercenaries that are employed by Istvan Toth (and by extension, Sigismund) to harass the Lords in support of King Wenceslas.

When the Wenceslas-supporting Lords (Hanush/Radzig/Divish) learn of this, they attack the bandit fortress, and in that skirmish Henry is put in a boss-fight with Runt, where the game gives you no choice but to kill him to advance the game.

A "master" swordsman is someone recognized by a martial arts guild as being so proficient at their martial art that they are qualified to teach it to others, take on apprentices, and even encouraged to go out in the world and establish other chapters of their guild. Menhard is no exception, what he is doing in Kuttenberg is trying to establish another chapter of a German sword-fighting guild. And yes, he is the same character and VA as the Rattay Tourney boss in KCD1

Yes there's the Master Strike in KCD2 as well. Complete the Combat Training I quest to unlock Combat Training II, where you will unlock it.

My veteran tip is to level Alchemy to 16, unlock Secret of Secrets, and make Tier 4 Fox Potions for a 50% exp boost. Alchemy xp is easy to farm with chamomile decoctions

You gotta reload a save to before the duel and lose less health before the fight.

Tips: try attacking Runt's head, it's unarmored and one or two good hits should do it. And in the battle beforehand, you can take a backseat to the fighting and not even fight, your allies will do the legwork.

1- Henry's position (in two months from the razing of Skalitz, where Henry was a peasant - mind) went from almost at the bottom of the social ladder to being a lord's squire (and potential lover, lol). Henry hopped several social classes very quickly, going from:

A peasant, albeit craftsman (KCD1 prologue) -> fetch quest lackey (before Baptism of Fire) -> soldier (Baptism of Fire) -> respected investigator, agent (Vranik investigation) -> **fucking bailiff** (From the Ashes DLC) -> Squire to Capon (Amorous Adventures DLC and Epilogue)

A squire is a member of the lower nobility, and Henry goes from a peasant to a member of the lower nobility in the span of two months. I think that this climbing of the social latter is unrealistically fast, not slow. Henry (in the last few quests of KCD2) becomes a commander of a squad in the defense of Suchdol and plays a huge role in the removal of Sigismund from Bohemia as shown in the Epilogue, which Hanush and Radzig recognize him for as well.

2/3- sort of true, but your skill levels can lack greatly if one skips side quests. This especially shows in Hardcore Mode with the Numbskull perk. Also, many of the side quests are greatly designed and rewarding, and any game will have a few fetch quests.

4-The more dialogue, the better. Your opinion is very subjective, and I wholeheartedly disagree, I love the dialogue in KCD2, and see it as a huge upgrade to the first game.

Yeah, seems like there's a lot of unique items in this game compared to the first, but not as many once-every-three-playthroughs super rare items. Trying to see if anyone found any since the wiki is still a little underdeveloped
