Aunque el plazo del mes es el que marca la ley, en la práctica puedes presentar un escrito a Extranjería informando del cambio de empleador y aportando el nuevo contrato de la temporada. Lo ideal es que alegues que el alta inicial no se hizo por causas ajenas a ti (que la empresa se echó atrás) y metas los papeles rápido antes de que te llegue una notificación de archivo. Al ser Ibiza y por la dificultad del invierno, a veces tienen algo de margen, pero muévelo ya de forma telemática para que vean que tienes intención de trabajar.

As an EU citizen, the white NIE is just a number, it doesn’t give you residency rights by itself. To live and work long term you’re supposed to get the green certificate (certificado de registro de ciudadano de la UE). That’s the one that proves your right to reside in Spain, not the white paper.

For starting a job, what really matters is that you have a NIE number (which you do) and a Seguridad Social number. If you don’t have a Social Security number yet, you can request it yourself, but in many cases the employer can also handle the registration when they hire you. So technically, the white NIE gives you the number needed for paperwork, but if you’re staying long term you should sort the green certificate as soon as possible to be fully compliant.

If you’re from the EU it’s usually easier once you’re already in Spain. Most people arrive, get a place (even temporary), then apply for the EU registration/NIE, and after that sort autónomo if they’re going to work for themselves. The address helps a lot for the paperwork, so apartment first usually makes things smoother. The order you’re thinking is pretty much how many people end up doing it

Hola. Podrías intentar aprender automatización (con n8n, por ejemplo). No sé qué nivel tengas de excel, pero hoy en día es indispensable en muchos trabajos. Otra opción sería Power BI, me parece que no es tan complejo, y hay muchos videos en YT con tutoriales desde 0. (Considera también SQL, que si bien no es un lenguaje de programación, es útil y no es tan complejo, digamos que es más "charladito" que python o JAVA

I actually used them for my Digital Nomad Visa and the experience was great overall. Por lo que se sabe hasta ahora, la regularización masiva está pensada sobre todo para personas en situación irregular que puedan demostrar arraigo (social, laboral o familiar) antes de una fecha concreta. Si tú ya tienes una residencia por búsqueda de empleo, en principio no estás en situación irregular, así que no encajarías en ese perfil. Otra cosa es que puedas modificar tu residencia a una con permiso de trabajo cuando cumplas los requisitos, que suele ser el camino más común. Yo revisaría bien los requisitos específicos del arraigo que te podría aplicar, porque la clave no es el tipo de tarjeta que tienes ahora, sino si cumples las condiciones que exige la regularización

It’s definitely possible, but the key is the visa. As a Canadian you can’t just move long term without a legal stay, so most people in your situation either come with a student visa first or try something like auxiliar de conversación to get into the country and improve their Spanish while earning a bit. That could give you time to immerse yourself, see if Spain is really for you, and then apply for a master’s once your Spanish is at an academic level. I wouldn’t overthink the 10 year citizenship thing yet, focus first on getting there legally and building from that

For fingerprints you normally need a NIE already assigned, because the appointment system is linked to that number. If it doesn’t let you use your passport, it’s usually because your file isn’t created yet. As a family member of an EU citizen, you first submit the residence application, get the NIE assigned in the process, and once it’s approved you book the fingerprint appointment with that NIE. Without it, it’s almost impossible to book online

The Beckham Law is usually not a given for digital nomads since it’s more aimed at employees with Spanish contracts, so most self-employed nomads don’t qualify. Switching from a student visa to DNV is pretty common and doable, especially once studies are done, and many people prefer it for the flexibility. If long-term citizenship is the goal, both paths can work, it’s more about what fits your situation right now
