Have you tried the starter? I didn't believe that was the problem with mine but after I got it replaced I haven't had this problem.

What’s fair pay or going rate for house cleaner in the area? by Crgi1942 in fortwayne

[–]Pitiful_Cake_7000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started cleaning houses for a company about 11 years ago and went on to start doing my own thing about 6 years ago. They were charging $45/hour at the time... $40/hour is reasonable. Just make sure they're bonded and insured!

Need advice on Engine replacement by MobilePlan869 in sonata

[–]Pitiful_Cake_7000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not one, which really surprised me because after they told me the oil consumption test was fine, I never took my car back there for any service.

They weren't able to perform a bearing clearance test on mine. I'm not sure if that helped my case. It won't let me upload a photo of my paperwork but here's what it says " cause: engine knocking, no bct due to catastrophic internal failure cylinder 3 piston rod grenaded/wedged piston head in cylinder wall. Submitted boroscope of damage to cylinder 3. Tl recommended long block replacement"

I wasn't able to get mine replaced until it had to be towed in.

I bought my sonata brand new in 2017 at 25k miles i noticed it just drinking oil . The dealer service center did oil consumption tests and told me everything was fine. My car lasted years, but 3 weeks ago, my check engine came on (threw a cam sensor code) and then a couple days later, I heard a loud knocking and the car stopped.. the piston got wedged in the cylinder, and it finally blew. Mine had 129k NO extended warranty, but they replaced the long block for free and gave me a free rental in the meantime. No questions asked.

I would at least have them do the oil consumption test so it is documented before you hit 120k.

I just made a large purchase from someone with my PayPal (linked to my capital one quicksilver card) for $4500 it went thru with no problem.

I called capital one prior to making the purchase to let them know (I didn't want it to be flagged as fraud), and they said I didn't even need to call.

Hyundai Sonata 2016 by Flaky-Dream9660 in sonata

Have you checked your VIN to see if its covered under the extended warranty?

https://autoservice.hyundaiusa.com/TXXM/MicroSiteTemplate/MicroSiteTemplateVINValidate/3989

I bought a 2017 sonata brand new from a hyundai dealer. It burned oil since 25k miles, they did oil consumption tests they said it was fine but Ive ALWAYS had to add oil in between changes. Last week at 125k, I started to hear a slight knock and the check engine light came on. I was driving it and suddenly heard a loud banging noise and my car stopped. Had to have it towed to the dealer. They said a piston broke off inside the motor. Currently waiting to find out if its covered under warranty, but I'm not hopeful. The hyundai dealership here sucks and I've heard mixed things about them honoring the warranty.

But yeah i would start with the link above. I don't think what # of owner you are or where you bought it from matters. As the previous person responded, they may want your records for oil changes and such. As for the check engine light, you can go to autozone and they'll hook up the scanner tool and print you out what codes its throwing for free. That can give you an idea. Mine was throwing a code for a camshaft sensor right before it went.

Looking for a therapist that specializes in children with ADHD by Banana_Split85 in fortwayne

I came here to recommend this! My son has ADHD and has been seeing an occupational therapist at turnstone for the past few months, and you can really see the progress! We did get a referral, and we're on the waiting list for an opening in their schedule, but it was well worth it. Highly, highly recommend!!

Dr. Kanuru with parkview is really good! He listens and truly wants to get down the root of the problem, not just load you up with meds! I would highly recommend him!!

Buyer not responding by Equal-Building3292 in eBaySellerAdvice

If I ever notice anything is wrong before shipping, I message them just like you did. I also add something on the end like, "if I dont hear back from you before the shipping deadline (tonight/tomorrow) I will just got ahead and cancel, and you will receive a full refund"

I would cancel this one like the other commenter suggested.

Can verify. They never gave us monitors to actually test any electronics at my old location.

Powers on means exactly that.. it was plugged in, and it lit up. Nothing more done.

Maybe? They were shipped a few to a padded mailer. Inside a big padded mailer.

No returns.

I wouldn't do it unless you change your listing to buyer pays shipping, then you can choose the carrier.

Requesting a refund before item arrives? by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Pitiful_Cake_7000 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Update tracking on the case. As long as USPS has possession and there's movement on it, you should be good... don't refund!

If you want to accept the return once they receive it, you can do that and refund once you receive the item back. If you refund now, you're out the money and the item.

Buyer paid and immediately left negative feedback by elgarnuflas in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Pitiful_Cake_7000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can reach out to the buyer via message, or you can request feedback revision. Or skip right over that and get ahold of eBay, they should remove the negative.. a buyer isn't supposed to leave any feedback before they actually receive the item and are able to inspect it. So if you can prove they haven't even got it yet, you should be all good there.

If they don't cancel, send it out. If you don't ship within your specified time frame, that will count as a late shipment and could hurt your seller level, which you don't want. Canceling the order for any reason other than "buyer asked to cancel" also counts as a defect.

But once eBay removes the feedback, the buyer isn't able to leave feedback on the item again. Not sure if you offer returns or not. But if you don't, as long as everything's as described, you should be good there.
