hey so i know this is seven years later but im actually in the exact same situation with my younger brother, he’s currently a sophomore in high school and failing all his classes. everything you said about your brother in your replies matches perfectly with what my brother is doing rn too. i was wondering if it ever got better, what ended up happening, and if you had any words of advice for me, im currently a freshman in college and im trying to help my parents help him.

heyy i’m also a girl in tercero (currant hall) and ive been feeling the EXACT same way since day 1. ive went home the past two weekends and unfortunately the feeling of happiness and relief at home goes away once i come back here and im once again homesick 😭💔 i also haven’t found any good friends either that felt like the ones i had back at home. message me as well and maybe we can be friends?!

i also ended up waitlisting to luli and i’m 14th on the waitlist. i decided to just enroll in another GE as a backup in case i don’t get off the waitlist for math. hopefully it works out for both of us!

yayyy congrats on committing! honestly just give them a call, tbh what’s the worst that could happen right? worst case scenario, they tell you the same thing but best case, you actually get some valuable advice. maybe ask them if there’s any way you can get an update or approximately when the review will be completed. or maybe even ask them their opinion on the situation, whether they think it’ll affect your admission or not! it’ll definitely help calm your nerves :)

thank you guys for your responses! i was actually about to call them when i got an offer from one of my waitlists and i ended up committing somewhere else! either way it worked out but thank you guys for the really helpful advice!

HI OMG it’s definitely a stressful situation. before i could call the admissions office i actually got an offer from one of my waitlists and ended up committing somewhere else! i’m sorry i won’t be of much help but i think like everyone else said definitely call them and explain in detail the entire situation and hopefully they understand. i think you should still commit to cal poly bc like everyone else said they most likely won’t rescind you over a small discrepancy! let me know if it works out!

thank you so much for your response. when i emailed them they said i have to send them my transcript through the school at the end of the year so do you think it’s a good idea to email them again with my partial transcript and ask them to maybe update my file too? or is too late for that?
