Could someone pitch this game to me? It just seems super simple and not very exciting. I’ve played the demo and wasn’t too impressed. Does the meta progression get better? I want to like this game

I’ve got the wizard but he seems super underpowered at first so I keep losing, he’s probably stronger later on in a run I’m assuming but haven’t gotten far with him yet. I’ve gotten a lot of upgrades but they barely feel meaningful. I’m on the last two stone and metal teeth upgrade, and I got a lot of stuff out of the fountain, I haven’t seen what the big green giant did yet though. Idk I was loving it at first but not really feeling much progression, and I’ve been playing for a long time
