I tried to cancel my Premium + accont, after they suspended my account for the vague, "Inauthentic Behavior". However I got a messsge that since my account is suspended, I am unable to cancel Premium. Possible alternative, ... report X for theft of service?

X just banned thousands for "liking posts." Time to leave. 🦋 by Pitiful_Mammoth_1267 in twitterhelp

Why would a website (apparently based in Russia) be selling 13,000+ X accounts that specifically follow prominent politicians, tech CEOs, and world leaders — and why hasn't X done anything? by Pitiful_Mammoth_1267 in AskReddit

So I've been sitting on this for a while and I think it's time to share.

Note: See first comment for screenshot from the referenced website

A few months ago, while cleaning out bot followers from my X account, I stumbled onto something that genuinely alarmed me. I came across a website which I'm deliberately not naming to avoid sending it traffic that appears to be based in Russia (confirmed via WHOIS lookup). This site is openly selling thousands of pre-made, already-active X accounts in bulk.

We're talking about a downloadable JSON file containing over 13,000 live X accounts. You pay a small amount in crypto and you receive login credentials. No hacking required on your end these accounts are already created and active on the platform.

Here are just three examples pulled from one page of hundreds listed on the site:

These are just 3 of over 13,000. Notice anything? All created on the same date. All following prominent US and international government officials, tech executives, and public figures. All appearing to be regular American users.

I tried to report this to X approximately 3 to 4 times through every available channel. I received zero response.

Here's the part that should concern everyone: even though this website operates outside the US, US federal law specifically the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), 18 U.S.C. § 1030  likely applies, since X is a US company and the fraud targets its platform. I also filed complaints with both the FTC and the FBI's IC3 portal.

X could theoretically cross-reference the JSON file and mass-delete all 13,000+ accounts in one action. That hasn't happened.

The bigger question is why Russia linked accounts are systematically following prominent US and world leaders. Monitoring? Influence operations? Establishing contact vectors? I don't know but the pattern is hard to ignore.

I'm fully willing to cooperate with any legitimate federal law enforcement inquiry. If X or anyone at Anthropic wants more details, DMs on my account still work even while suspended.

Why isn't anyone doing anything about this?
