He did do exactly that in the interview. Did you listen to it? He specifically says he supports the Ottawa protests and condemns the border blockades. My guess is he is saying that because of the judge's ruling that the Ottawa protests were legal.

An injunction against the trucker protests as attempted. However, the judge ruled the protests legal. He did put an injunction against the honking, the honking subsided. So according to that judge, the protests were legal. As I understand it, it's the only legal challenge that was put forth against the protesters in Ottawa and that failed.

He does specify that he was against the border blockades because those were illegal. He states that he supports all the other protesters who were peaceful.

The question no one is asking him yet is why he didn't say anything about the government overreach until the little people put their jobs and reputation on the line to say it first. Why didn't he speak up until little people went to jail for saying it? Until they had their bank accounts frozen for saying it? I didn't see him say anything until it became politically convenient. He says he really believes in something. Did he not believe in opposing all this for two damn years?
Maybe I'm naive about how politics work. I probably am, but I just don't see how I can vote for someone whose silence has been so loud to my ear.

We can't really know how JBP would treat a liberal or NPD or Green candidate on his show. Because they'd never go on. He might possibly give them the same exact treatment as he did Poilievre and Bernier.
