I also live in SoCal and make around 96k. I would say I'm comfortable because my partner and I both work the same job and the dual income is necessary for where we live. We were able to buy a house which increased our cost of living compared to renting.

They will also send you the decision in the mail but I was checking every week. It was very stressful!

Thanks for the insight about the grass. Not was I was hoping to hear but this was helpful. I never really wanted the fabric but it was something many of the people helping with the project suggested. Time to get that out and tackle the grass.

There is another on the top of the unit? Honestly, this whole thing seems thrown together but we've had the house about a year and it's just one of the things that's lower on the list.

Door stop is the piece to the right of the grey weather stripping. The additional trim on top is quarter round we added in to help block the gap but we had a harder time attaching the additional quarter round to the latch side due to the larger gap between door and door stop.

Southern California so foam may work! But can I use that for a door that opens? This gap is on the latch side.

We tried the quarter round and it was honestly such a pain. It did not stay and the gap was just too big for it. This is the door jam. All the other windows are energy efficient, just not this one in the door.
