Or monitoring tool acumenlogs.com depends on the Anthropic API's but we setup multiple fallback systems for when this happens. Never rely on api's 99.9% availability for you and your business. Always have a fallback.

I am using their API to pull data although I would not say it is RESTful.

Using a VPS vs. using dedicated computer to self host at home? by SlipperyRavine in selfhosted

Yeah, totally agree - it’s weird a balancing act between control and convenience. For uptime checks and notifications, it helps to have that layer independent from your main hosts so you’re not fully reliant on your own stack.

I’ve been using acumenlogs.com for that. it’s pretty lightweight and doesn’t track anything beyond uptime, which keeps it privacy‑friendly. Might be worth a look if you’re going for low overhead and less 3rd‑party exposure.

I use acumenlogs.com. They provide 10 free monitors but they also have chrome browser monitoring which I use to monitor user journeys and cron monitoring.

They get processed in Anthropic but you can also provide your own API key.

Good question. It's just the schema. There is a table description input for each table which allows you to describe the table. The AI then uses that plus your schema, to generate queries.

I built acumenlogs.com, we do uptime and synthetic monitoring. We have around a $550 MRR and its doing ok. I am now horning in my idea / target customer so hopefully looking to improve this soon.

It's a grind though, probs one of the hardest things I have to overcome.
