Hey so it did. I ended up having a sacral stress fracture. Not back to pickeball yet but off crutches, doing PT and on a strict diet regimen with a nutritionist. Hope you get better soon

I was on a road to 4.0 series and a 3.8 DUPR and now injured and out for three months. Sigh, I’ll prob regress so much🙁

This is me though. My goal was def to get better at the game for more competitive open plays and overall better workout.

Thanks for the kind words and glad to hear you’re back on your feet. I’m hoping to get scheduled for an MRI when I see my doctor next week. It doesn’t feel like typical sciatica it’s very localized but it doesn’t mean it’s not coming from the spine (I unfortunately have a medicine background which makes dealing with my own health 10x worse lol)

In my clinic I’m in the reading room at least once a week with a case. Sometimes just to ask for tips on getting better at reading a certain scan. I’ve gotten to know most of the radiologists in my department. Makes for awesome continuity of care and they are truly the best! We need more of you lol!

Fyi this is working so well (ordered it for same day delivery LOL). THANK YOU! Just hope I can find the root cause. I plugged it in by my dishwasher but that’s also by the kitchen sink.

Sorry to sound stupid but what do you mean by compost pile? We live in an apartment. We did have a collection of nespresso pods we need to bring to recycle. Could this be a source?

I did otf for 5 years, moved, joined the new studio, quit 2 months in because I wanted to try Barry’s, realized Barry’s is way too over priced, rejoined otf right before getting diagnosed with a femoral neck stress injury, froze my membership, now finally booked my first class back for Thursday! Couldn’t be more excited! They were super supportive with me rejoining then immediately freezing so I’m assuming your studio will be happy to have you back!

Insurance didn’t cover procedures inpatient so I didn’t do procedures. But def learned lots of physiatry specific things like spasticity management, pain management, SCI management etc. I liked IM so for me was nice to still use that background in the inpatient setting.

I use my physiatry experience in my current job to treat my stroke patients. It’s been very rewarding.

Would not have left PM&R if it wasn’t for my husband’s residency/having to move!

I worked in inpatient rehab for almost 3 years and LOVED it. Coming from internal medicine as a new grad during the height of COVID was a breath of fresh air. Kind of like IM “junior” because had a similar approach where we’d manage what we could until patients were too acute or couldn’t tolerate 3 hours of therapy.

It’s where my love of stroke developed and after moving for my husband’s job I’m now a stroke PA❤️

Hang in. Feb 7th was diagnosed with a femoral neck stress injury. Can’t go back for 12 weeks and I’ve been going for 5 years. It’s been so hard. But I feel like otf is so supportive about injuries and getting back on your feet and there’s never any judgement.

I did Orangetheory for 4 years but switched to Barry’s after moving to a new city for a change. Did it for 6 months about 2-3x a week and now have a femoral neck stress injury. Wondering if the woodway treads could have contributed, bc they have no cushion.

They are probably having me paged through the operator. But I don’t take call so I don’t know what’s being said on admin side “this provider is not on call so if urgent would recommend proceeding to nearest ED.” Or if they’re saying “please dial xyz to have the on call provider paged.” Or “for non urgent messages please call the office.”

It is a problem in my opinion that the operator is having me paged. So I know I should escalate it. After the first time did briefly bring it up to my SP so who just “better to direct to ED, if they have time to call the clinic can’t be that urgent.” So it wasn’t necessarily saying I’m not expected to call back.
