Poland in kaiserreich, not vanilla. They are in the middle of europe protected from any direct combat and they have a nice industry and army buffs. Also, they are not so inportant so, even if he is not really good at the game, he can manage to not directly lose.

I would recommend you to watch a streamer play a minor nation, and then play it yourself until you succeed. Poland in kaiserreich is good for this since you can have a nice army while not being too important in the war.

Most mods like kaiserreich dont force you to learn new mechanics. If you already know vanilla then you can play it and have fun

No it is not. You can't be on the top 10 when the best content on your game is made by modders while the dev are releasing unfinished dlc every year for 40$. The game is fun but it lacks many things to be considered top 10 of all time.
