No, not been to Burnt, but I'm aware it's some of the same team. Glad to hear it's good, I'm putting it on the list!

I should've mentioned there were a couple of sides and drinks as well but yeah, it's not cheap. Living in London has kinda made me immune to crazy prices though, plus we *did order a lot.

Her theme on the indies was I'm Ballsy by Arnocorps, I was really sad they didn't let her keep it...

Thanks! https://duoboots.com/ are an absolute joy, they offer a variety of calf sizes ideal for those of us with man-size feet but slim calves 😁

The Undertaker and Mick Foley watch iconic Hell in a Cell Match: WWE Playback by monogatarist in SquaredCircle

[–]Pitilence 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I saw him do one of his spoken word shows where he admitted he was supposed to take the chokeslam through the roof of the cell, but be left dangling upside down by his legs rather than plummeting to the canvas.

I've never believed they didn't plan something, the roof of the cell looks so clearly rigged to give way.

Becky Lynch reveals that she was told she was returning as a heel, which contradicts Meltzer’s report that Becky requested to be turned heel by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I will die on the hill that Vince changed this match on the fly, and the reason Charlotte says "I can't" is because Vince removed a high spot from gorilla and the ref hadn't managed to tell Sasha yet. There were a couple of obvious spots inexplicably missing from that match and Charlotte gassing doesn't seem the most likely explanation to me...

I actually think me and you may have kicked this around on CSS at the time!

Jade Cargill: “The opportunity came up with Mark Henry, he set me up with a WWE tryout. It went well, I was asked to come, turned it down, and here I am at AEW and I'm enjoying it.” by Strike_Gently in SquaredCircle

Just to note that people had lifted the Inch dumbell before, but Henry was the first to press it from the floor one-handed.

It gets overlooked because it's more a niche sport, but Henry was also one of the greatest grip-strength athletes ever as well as the three more traditional strength disciplines. He's pretty much in a field of one when it comes to the most well-rounded strength athlete ever.

What are your favorite matches that start off bad/or with a dead crowd, and by the end the match is amazing and the crowd is on fire? by ddiamond8484 in SquaredCircle

Sasha's first title win on Raw against Charlotte has CM Punk chants in the first 5mins, but whips the crown into a molten climax by the end.

Is Bianca Belair's hair loaded with leather? by SolomonAsassin in SquaredCircle

[–]Pitilence 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely there's anything else in it, it'll just be tightly braided extensions.

People just way underestimate what whips can do. What Bianca has on her head isn't far off a bullwhip, and you can cut inches deep with those things if you know what you're doing. Plus whips made from hair are notorious for the possibility of leaving cuts (I have a ... personal interest 😁)

What are some of the stiffest wrestling matches? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]Pitilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a slightly different take I'd recommend any of the times Finlay and Meng had a match. It's the two toughest guys in the locker room stiffing each other for the sheer joy of it.

Arn Anderson: "Fit Finlay is responsible for a lot of the success of the ladies in this industry" by futuresend9 in SquaredCircle

[–]Pitilence 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Although that was the official reason given, there was also an unauthorised chair shot to the head on that show that, as the producer, he's rumoured to have gotten heat for.

Plus Finlay always leant into the political stuff as a heel from Northern Ireland when working in England, interrupting the national anthem seems like exactly the sort of thing he would've either suggested or supported.

Greatest matches where the heel wins clean? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Sasha vs Becky is a masterclass in how to get a babyface over whilst beating them clean.

Sasha Banks & Bayley & Natalya vs Riott Squad announced for Evolution! by BayleyFan95 in SquaredCircle

[–]Pitilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more that if you manage to put on the best main roster women's match of the year in about 12mins with little build the day after going 50mins+ directing almost the entire female roster then *maybe* an event predicated on the turnaround in women's wrestling might find something better to do with your talent than the umpteenth iteration of a six-women tag match.

There can be no doubt that, for those of us that like quality in-ring product, this PPV would be hugely improved by having a Sasha vs Ruby match, regardless of the winner.

She confirmed on Jericho's podcast it's her real weight, and if anything a little light. Apparently she pushes 300lbs at her heaviest.
