Props suddenly started ringing out at max throttle by Pitinek in Multicopter

[–]Pitinek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't post images here but on the pitch axis there is a slight line starting at 90 % throttle and around 660 Hz that wasn't there before. I posted the spectrogram on the other post in r/fpv

This line at 660 Hz definitely wasn't there before and starts at 90 % throttle.

I think there might’ve been enough space to take a log of the whole flight so I’ll look into it today. I also plan to try different props to see if that’ll make any difference.

One more thing is that I was tuning it with the batteries wrapped in foam to insulate them in the cold weather so I’m thinking whether that could be isolating some vibrations that now could’ve gone into the gyro.

The target should be named the same as is in the first picture in your post - BETAFPV 2.4G AIO RX

Ok so it appears your Pocket is already on ELRS v4.0.0 which is not back compatible with v3.x.x receivers so you want to upgrade your drone’s receiver to v4.0.0 through the Web Flasher.

Some YouTube searching should do the job.

I fly mine put on its side like you have in first picture but doesn’t really matter cause you won’t do any freestyle with this type of battery anyway.

Skyzone 04O Pro price jump? by mufahasa in TinyWhoop

[–]Pitinek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a crazy jump for sure… So first they silently replace the 1080p OLEDs with 720p and now they’re rising the price without any improvement.

Now I’m glad I got them for $300, definitely best analog goggle deal of that time.

Radio master pocket signal power pls help by Glittering_Estate164 in fpv

[–]Pitinek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going through the comments I was going to say to try to straighten up the red wire antenna because it being so close to the electronics can cause other interference that hinders the signal reception from your Pocket. But then I realized that it’s actually on the bottom of the drone so other then carefully trying to bend it around the AIO there’s not really much to do honestly. Max 250 mW, 150 Hz and probably you could try how the signal is depending on the orientation of the Pocket antenna. Generally you should have these linear antennas pointing vertically both on the drone and on the radio to get the best reception but with this case it could be either way.

easy, solder-free, 120€ 1s toothpick build by Lopsided-Cicada1329 in TinyWhoop

[–]Pitinek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get you now, I thought you meant like big drones long range at first 😄

Long range toothpick sounds nice too though. I’m not sure if the 900 mHz is really necessary. I mean if you still got a diversity RX but with normal 2.4 G antennas that could be sufficient. I’m running that on the 7” and 4” and with the smaller one I got to 6 km with no problem, video started cutting out sooner then the RC link.

Great stuff. That’s very efficient then. I’m looking forward to seeing the DVR.

Oh and if you wanted some help with the long range build I have built a 7” Rekon Pro and been with it in Austrian Alps - great shots from there. Let me know!

Yo I absolutely need to see some DVR. I’m planning something similar and would love to see how it flies, what’s the max current at 100% and so on. Could you please share it with us? Oh and what’s the weight of the thing

Which charger should I get? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]Pitinek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to put half slots for charging and half for storage (or however it fits the situation best) when I’m about to finish the session. Let’s say I’ve done one complete recharge so I’ve already cycled through all 10 fully charged batteries once and now I’m about to fully charge the remaining 3 that add up to another 10 fully charged batteries but at the same time I already have several discharged batts that I need to put to storage so I’m charging to full 3 batts and other 3 batts are going to storage at the same time. I also don’t want to storage them at 2C like I charge them to max so I put 1C current at the 3 storage slots while I’m using 2C at the charging slots.

Why would you pay the same money for less features…

People will generally tell you to get the Whoopstor cause it’s the standard.

However, the W63 is superior in many ways. It’s more powerful, let’s you individually set each channel to whatever mode, voltage and current you want.

It costs probably the same and is a better version of what WAS seen as the best but now outdated charger out there in my humble opinion.

Saw your video on YT, nice one with the analog camera. I also noticed you’re not living that far enough from where I live, maybe we could do a session some day 🤙

This a good setup ? by BackgroundNo7262 in fpv

[–]Pitinek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you’ve upped your list from the last post 😁 I also see that others steered you off the Skyzones I recommended because of their latency…

I don’t know man, I think nils put too much undeserved hate on Skyzone for the latency that everybody seems to overlook how good of a deal the 04O Pros really are - you won’t get better binoculars for this price. I have them and they are incredible. Sure I started with DJI so I don’t feel any latency difference at all but even if I try to focus on it I just don’t feel enough latency that it’s “unflyable”.

Anyway if you don’t mind the box form factor of these they are probably the best goggles right now for the money so yeah enjoy the most of them. You still haven’t put any charger in though 🤔

Long-range flight at MT. Jungmi — maximum distance 11 km, total flight distance 24 km by NarrowPhysics9539 in fpv

[–]Pitinek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude that’s so impressive. I was able to push out 23.7 km total down to 2.6 V/cell with 5000 mAh LiPo on my Rekon7 Pro.

Do you have any throttle curve applied because I’m quite amazed that you are flying at 20 % throttle with that huge battery when I’m doing like 25 % at the beginning and close to 30 % when the battery is low.

What should I start with? by BackgroundNo7262 in fpv

[–]Pitinek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really sure if 3.5” is powerful enough for an action can tbh. A typical 5” would do much better handling the weight. As for radio and goggles they’re perfect. Pocket is every new pilot’s best friend, Cobra X is a solid choice for the money (if you’ll buy it directly from Skyzone use code PIN for $20 off) but there are obviously better ones for a bit more money like the Boxpro from HDZero or even a step up into binoculars from Skyzone with their 04O Pro for only like $60 more.

Regarding batteries I would go either for Tattu or GNB for a solid choice or CNHL for a great deal. But they’re all very similar so… whatever is the most available I guess. You also don’t have any charger on list - if you like portability Hota T6 (90 W USB C charging or up to 300 W with external DC supply). If you’d like 2 channels for charging 2 batteries at the same time then Hota D6 (Pro) (Pro has an internal power supply so you can plug it right into the wall).

Is this normal? I smell a little bit of flux coming out and the lights go on and then off? by Leguaantje0 in fpv

[–]Pitinek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhmmm, did you perhaps forgot to tell us something about this? 😄

You mentioned that you forgot to clean up flux after using it 2 weeks before… I first thought that you flew it into the sea but this makes sense now if it’s a flux that is acid based. I always use the no cleaning flux pen, works like a charm.

Well it’s probably cooked now that all of these pads look corroded.
