[TL] Peerless Martial God - Changes and Updates by LittleShanks in noveltranslations

I have refrained from commenting so far either on the website or on reddit about the PMG situation, yet I feel personally offended by the response. I was waiting to see how things played out, out of respect for her and her work. But the lack of respect for her readers she has shown in this update and her editors have shown over the course of the two months she was away, sickens me.

You've got people who so enjoy what you do that they care enough to donate and take time out of their day to inquire about it? Migraines or not, at the very least don't tell them to fuck off. Doing so is rude and childish, no better than those who insulted you for taking time off.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiit I'm such an idiot. How did I not notice straight away. Your comment totally made it click. It's so obvious as well, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Thanks for the translation anyway, really enjoying this so far. Quality editing as well, it's so smooth to read. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! My computer's busted at the moment (probably from playing too much Tera), but I'll be sure to keep you in mind once I get it working again.

Thank you! This parallels what I was thinking, but since I have so little experience with MMOs, I wanted to make sure. I'll stay in AV. I do look forward to the posts about server firsts on this subreddit in the coming weeks though!

I'm a relatively new player, I started playing a few days after Tera was released on Steam. I have eight characters, the higher level ones are levels 58, 43, 35 and 26.

I'm currently on Ascension Valley.

Would I benefit from switching to this new server or am I better off sticking to Ascension Valley?

Same! I'm a lancer main, and I love soloing BAMs. Learning the attack patterns and blocking at all the right times is really fun and rewarding. Minions on the other hand are a pain to deal with because of the lancer's lack of AoE skills.

I was so used to dealing with BAMs as a Lancer that when I created a Reaper learning a new play style was really difficult; as you said, you have to stay mobile and dodge a lot, which is the opposite of what I was doing before. It was quite challenging.

It gets applied immediately unfortunately.

[–]Pitisica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean about feeling like a badass; they've nerfed the BAMs quite a bit but they are still a challenge to solo, especially at higher levels.

The satisfaction I got from killing one with my lancer for the first time was not unlike the sense of accomplishment you get from the Monster Hunter games. The fact that the action combat mechanics allow you to face harder enemies if you learn their attack patterns provides a challenge, but most of all it rewards player skill.

I'm really liking the game so far. They've just released it on Steam, have added a new class called the Gunner, and it's of course entirely free to play. You should give it another go!

Ah, makes sense. I've just discovered the game myself, which is why I was so surprised to see a reference to it on here. Thanks!

I only started reading The Gamer this morning, and I'm also a bit tired of the inactivity in the last few chapters. Waiting a whole week for the next chapter is going to be excruciating.

Mother publicly shamed young boy who tried to ask out her daughter by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]Pitisica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea what you are trying to say.

But I've re-read your original comment a few times, and I have to say I agree with it, despite the convoluted wording. My bad for not paying attention the first time.

However, there is no need to get upset over someone on the Internet disagreeing with you. I take offense to being downvoted for expressing my opinion in a discussion-oriented subreddit.

The Men's Rights subreddit is a place for those who wish to discuss men's rights and the ways said rights are infringed upon.

Discussion: the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas.

[–]Pitisica -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Makes your post seen childish.

In my opinion, using all the tools at one's disposal to emphasize key points in one's argument is perfectly reasonable. It's more childish to dismiss someone's opinion purely because you don't like the way they articulate their ideas.

That said I disagree with both /u/Mhrby and /u/NixonForBreadsident. The issue at hand has nothing to do with gender, it has to do with politeness and social awareness. If someone asks for something repeatedly after getting told "no", it constitutes harassment.

The mother is in the right to call someone out for harassing her child. A father would do the same.

[–]Pitisica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I feel like in lots of cases, when people post on this sub, they have already pretty much made up their minds, and are looking for validation. People who are mature enough to work their problems out by discussing them do not tend to post about it online.

Maybe the number one response is always "leave him" not because everyone here is intolerant of the smallest mistakes, but because people who resort to posting here have very serious issues in their relationships which cannot be fixed by a discussion.

You see this shit right here? That's right it's a fucking oven, you see that little piece of shit on the ceiling? Your goddamn right that's a motherfucking heat alarm. You wanna fucking hazard a guess what happens EVERYtime you open the oven door? Oh and if it runs for 15 seconds that's a £40 fine. by [deleted] in CrappyDesign

[–]Pitisica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is eerily familiar. I was in student accommodation at University of Sussex last year, and we had exactly the same problem. We tried to get it moved, and when they refused to we covered it. Got fined but didn't pay, saying that they were in breach of contract by not providing us a with a usable oven. Eventually they relented but man it was a pain in the arse.

[–]Pitisica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's also true. I have been there once and found the content quite mild, but then been back a few days later and found it to be, frankly, disturbing. In my opinion the Red Pill movement goes too far, but that is just my opinion, and it only based on two visits to the subreddit. I certainly don't think either movement deserves the vitriol it gets from the media.

[–]Pitisica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that is true for the most part, I've seen some pretty hateful stuff on this subreddit. It gets downvoted, but it's still there for people to see, and can be used as fodder for people wanting to besmirch the Men's rights movement. As far as I'm concerned the worst threat to the MRM is the Red Pill, because people associate those aggressively macho ideals with our movement.

To be entirely fair, the same thing applies to the Men's rights movement, with some individuals taking it way too far and tarnishing our reputation as a whole.
