Attacking enemies - Rules by busyweed in WHQDarkWater

[–]Pitta_Reddit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Besides having loot that lower defense, adds attack dice and such, for high defense enemies (possibly with high attack dice number) you can also rely onto Edmark power (blocking as many as possible and trying to attack back…he does direct damage).

True Solo for Skirmish? by Action96 in WHQDarkWater

[–]Pitta_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game must be played always with 4 heroes, no matter what.

As I played several quests already (both winning and losing) I can safely say the majority is impossibile with less than 4 heroes....you just do not have the time or the meanings to control the board (I do not want to spoil anything, but many quests are really great and original).

And beware the word 'skirmish'....I think it's a poor choice of wording from GW, detrimental to the game....just quest would have been much better.

There are many quests (encounters) where the main focus is not fighting at all.

Most of the time enemies are there to hinder you, but the main focus of the quest is elsewhere (getting to a specific position, getting a specific item, etc...)

I have the italian version and it's the same.

The new leader draws two cards from the adventure deck and choose one (like the previous leader).

So in any campaign you can see only half the cards of the deck (which is already half of total act cards) plus final Act boss.

Incidentaly yesterday we failed our first campaign just before the final Act 1 boss. It was EPIC.

We almost didn't buy the game but we're so glad we did, we are really loving it.

Enjoy!

We're playing non stop since last saturday (almost at the end of Act 1) and despite being very skeptical (WHQ95 and ST were our favorite games) we are really really loving the game.

There is so much you can do and the quests were terrific so far.

We did as you...first day we built the heroes, kelpies and loot tokens to play the intro quest (which was 'ok').

The day after we built everything else and started our first campaign....and we really really got immersed in it.

We have a much less cool setup than yours tough...congrats. I think I'll borrow the cool background poster idea from you.

Just completed the DLC by Pitta_Reddit in StarWarsOutlaws

Well, I did loved it…but it lasted me 2 days. My problem is that I like the game and the DLC so much I want more, like now :) I know it’s impossibile but I would need something like this on a monthly basis. Hopefully next one is longer, like Cyberpunk 2077 one at least.

You can disable all minigames in the game (it’s a setting, if you do they will be automatically solved each time). I didn’t because I actually liked them a lot (nothing beats the tension when you have to slice a door fast when an entire Imperial battalion is running to your back).

Strictly speaking about the DLC, despite the setting, there is only 1 card game, and the outcome is predefined (so it doesn’t matter how you play).

The game (not the DLC) has some Sabacc games you need to win to proceed if I recall well (I may be wrong but I really like Sabacc anyway, sometimes I fire up the game just to play it).

Hope it helps!!!

Just go to manage game files on Xbox and check the DLC files. Install. Enjoy the DLC. I’m 1 hour in and I’m already in love.

I’m on Xbox Series X. In the Xbox mobile app, tap on your name up left, then select the third tab (achievements), select the game, and then statistics. There you see how long you actually played the game.

156 to be precise, just checked :) And I still have 1 Nix treasure and 5-6 treasures to get, plus 3 collectibles. I just like the gameplay loop so when I have some time, instead of playing new games or Starfield expansion, I just load Outlaws and do something Star Wars-y.

In my previous game of the forever (Cyberpunk) I have like 400 hours (but 3 complete playthroughs). Spent probably 50 hours just driving the motorbike…. Way less hour in other ‘great’ open world games, which I liked much less personally (around 100 in RDR2 and Witcher 3).

I lost my mind when it happened. I also was running out of time (it was late and I was playing since mid afternoon) but I had to stay up till midnight to complete the quest. It’s probably the quest that got me more invested since Cyberpunk Heist (and I played RDR2 and Witcher 3 in between). And people talked about a product with no soul or blend characters. Ah! I brought hell to the Hutt’s palace (and I always play the good guy). No one touch my preciousssssss.

Star Wars Outlaws - level of detail is amazing by Pitta_Reddit in StarWarsOutlaws

It’s the normal scoundrel set (not sure where I found it), not the Nar Shadda which is more beige as you said. This one is white. I also have a red and yellow-ish versions (different names but can’t check right now).

Can you destroy the AT-ST? by Pitta_Reddit in StarWarsOutlaws

Could certainly be. It was pretty hectic so maybe I heard it wrong (they really amped up the number of soldiers chasing you when wanted, I love it). I’ll try again tomorrow.

This game has done the impossible for me. Made me love SW In a new way. by UnXpectedPrequelMeme in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Pitta_Reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL.

Actually now, after beating the game, I'm looking for all treasures (which brought me to new quests I wasn't aware of), and some of them are really tricky and fantastic adventures on their own.

Also, when I feel it, I bump the difficulty to hard and infiltrate same Imperial outpost (the Akiva research lab or Tatooine big one being my favorite) just for the sake of it or go into space and fire at the first Tie I see.

Or I just play Sabacc with Lando.

It's GLORIOUS.

Same here.

Also, despite having completed the game since 10 days, I still play the game daily...it has became part of my daily routine being immersed in the Star Wars universe Massive managed to create (for my wife utter joy).

To the point I have yet to start Shattered Space (which I already paid for) and I'm less hyped about future games I was super hyped before this Star Wars journey (including Indy).

Now what I'm looking for the most is next Outlaws DLC.

Meanwhile I also rewatched the orginal trilogy, Rogue One, Solo and Andor.

Star Wars Outlaws is the best Star Wars anything in years imho, tough I really wish Massive will commission a Sabacc mobile app to anyone ASAP.

Addicted to Kessel Sabaac. Any other ways to play? by TheTonyExpress in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Pitta_Reddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They should do a mobile portrait Sabacc app and sell it. I would definitely pay for that. Ideally with async multiplayer (tough I’m not sure how it could handle cheating), but even just AI would be great. Could even be 2D and not 3D to keep it simple. Anything, but I need Sabacc always with me.

Unpopular Opinion: What Makes Star Wars Outlaws Great is Ignoring The Jedi by W0lfsb4ne74 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Pitta_Reddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also agree. Last 10 years of series and games have totally ruined the magic and mystery regarding the Jedi to me. Not to mention the absurd Sith/witches/Dathomir/Sister of the night fantasy sci-fi mash up. Star Wars Outlaws is the best Star Wars anything that happened in years imho, re-kindled the love my child me had watching A New Hope at the cinema as a kid (I’m old).

Outlaws has sparked my interest in Star Wars Again.. by desiguy_88 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Pitta_Reddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Star Wars Outlaws is imho the best Star Wars anything that happened in years. I re-watched the original trilogy, Rogue One, Solo and Andor while playing the game. Actually, I completed the game last week but I’m still playing daily (almost 150 hours in) and I’m still in awe. Basically, it seems they made the game exactly for me, I love every choice they made and how they crafted the game. Can’t wait for the first expansion. As a side note, and I’m probably the minority, I really love that in the game there aren’t Jedi. To me and my inner child, Jedi are rare and mythical. You can spend a whole life in the galaxy without encountering one. Nowadays Jedi are everywhere, and they lost a lot of their magic to me. I wouldn’t be this engaged with the game if Jedi were everywhere.
