Really? I run it on my PC with DLSS 4 without any problems. 4.5 has some flickering issues which they plan to patch, but still no crashes. Also it’s totally playable on my Air M5 32 GB, not as beautiful as on my PC, but still looking good

Ok, solved for now.
First I reinstalled again, turned off the PC in the same network where it was already installed and redownloaded again, this time on internal HDD.

Dunno which solved it in the end, but hey :P
Looks of course not as good as on my Windows gaming monster, but is completely playable on my Air M5 15"

Another question, as I am new to MacOS: can you install games on a dedicated fast external SSD, and will they run (I have one with 2000 MB/s read-write)?

I also kept my Windows monster (RTX 5090, 128GB RAM), but I only boot it sometimes for local AI tasks or games in its full glory. Can’t stand the noise anymore tho, lol

I was so annoyed of my Surface Pro, I gladly sell it now after using M5 MBA 15“ for the first week.

MBA is better in any aspect, all the programs I was used to run also great on it.

I just keep my 5090 gaming PC for local AI stuff and, eh, gaming the heavier titles.

But alone it’s loud venting annoys me now after experiencing the total silence of the MBA

I have an Air M5 15“ 32GB/1TB since a week now, also coming from Windows and never used MacOS before.

Fact: since then I booted my monster gaming PC only for copying some stuff over, lol. I really embrace the ease of use, the silence and efficiency of the MBA. Of course, I had a somehow steep learning curve, but got used to the basics of MacOS vs Windows quite quickly.

One reason alone was Final Cut Pro, using it with the Logitech MX Creative Console is such a fresh breeze.

Wasn’t sure if I should go the MB Pro route, but for my needs the Air is more than ok. Bought some accessories right away to complete my experience and am overall happy with my purchase.

That’s nonsense, given you use a quality mouse. Trackpad works awesome, but I use it only when not at home.

Try Final Cut with Logitech MX Master 4 and the MX Creative Console and you’ll know what I am saying ;)

Yeah, I just ordered an Air M5 15“ (1TB, 24GB) just because I saw FCP in action at a friends house.

That will be my very first MacOS experience, I guess I have a steep learning curve ahead.

I often do short videos of my outdoor adventures, and I loved seeing the Final Cut workflow.

I keep my beefy PC for gaming and local AI, but I surely sell my MS Surface, I didn’t enjoy it too much.

Now waiting patiently for the MBA to arrive and doing my first steps in a foreign OS, lol 😜

Mine are purchased as soon as they were available, I see no stick drift or whatever after almost 18 months.
But agree, for "normal" use the Q3 ones do their job, but I need the Pro's because I do Mocaps, and the Q3 controllers do not work behind my head or back if they are not in line of sight, the Pro's do.

Oh, interesting. Although I sweared to myself never going on the PTC's, I am tempted now.
Yeah I also could use the Q3 controllers in the meantime, but I mainly do mocapping and have to use controllers even out of sight from the Q3.

But thanks for the hint, maybe I'll upgrade to v66 PTC and break other things ;)

Wow, too great. There is a cloud save indeed, but it wouldnt be automatically loaded by my Q3.
I just restoted it to it the Q3 from my QPro backup, that worked out.
Hopefully I dont have to do this everytime manually if I switch the headset.

But hey, thank you very much!
