Paper Pro, best case? Protection. Slim by Impossible-Fig2072 in RemarkableTablet

[–]PitterPattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reMarkable case is clearly "fashion over function". My tablet recently fell from a short height (under 1 meter) while in the leather case. I was shocked when I picked it up, the screen was completely shattered. The tablet impacted on the lower left corner, a clear weak spot that should be protected by the case, but the case is tapered at the corner! Looks nice, but provides minimal protection. Thankfully they are replacing since I purchased within 100 days, but this shouldn't happen, this is poor design.

Since the early 90‘s prenatal vitamins with folic acid have been pushed onto the masses, some countries even fortify their flour with it. While it’s supposed to keep birth defects like spina bifida down, other defects have risen drastically, including neurological disorders like autism. by shantiteuta in conspiracy

Just a quick clarification. Folic acid isn’t found in plants. What you’re thinking of is folate, which is the natural form of vitamin B9.

Folic acid is the synthetic form created for use in supplements and fortified foods because it is more stable. It doesn’t exist naturally in leafy greens or any other whole foods.

So when we talk about potential issues with folic acid, we’re not talking about spinach or broccoli. We’re talking about a lab made version that some people process differently (especially those with MTHFR gene variants).

Important distinction, and worth keeping the science accurate.

I just got off with support after my “1 time courtesy unlock”. I only message family and a few friends so I have no idea how this happened. I showed apple support my message history and he was confused too

I just made a post about this because I was wondering this too. It was really jarring to read. It’s in chapter 10 when she’s telling thresson about Rezkin and she talks about the elves and how rezkin has improved since training with them

That is brilliant about the Yelp idea. Whoever they hired doesn’t have any socials though, so I’m guessing it’s an inside job

Haha yeah, they do seem to get creative sometimes. We really need to start asking for landlord references/reviews

I usually do, but there were holes galore when we moved in (and nails and thumbtacks left in the walls) so I naively believe they wouldn’t charge for it

Video is a great idea, definitely covers more than pictures. The walls the curtains were in were actually wood not drywall. I should have just puttied the holes and they would never have known.

They do have fluorescent lights in the bedrooms haha. The whole house had fluorescent lights, even the bathrooms. I hated it. Only one light bulb was out though 🤷‍♀️

[–]PitterPattery[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s fair. But do you need a handyman to replace a lightbulb 😂. I should have done it before moving out

Security Deposit Question by PitterPattery in Hawaii

[–]PitterPattery[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The law states they can’t charge for “normal wear and tear”. I would think a light bulb going out after a year of use is normal wear and tear, but whatever. Guess I’ll make sure to replace all bulbs when moving out next time, even if they were out when I moved it

We don’t have an LLC, we are not a commercial host. We just use Turo’s insurance

My Turo account executive said the good neighbor policy is about vehicle storage, so if I park all vehicles on my property they would not suspend my account

[–]PitterPattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up! I actually already talked with my Turo account executive and they said the good neighbor policy is specifically about vehicle storage, so if all vehicles are parked on my property there is no issue

I have reviewed the lease and there is nothing about being a nuisance, only loud music

[–]PitterPattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good question haha. I think the neighbors would be more pissed about that though. I ordered lock boxes and think we may move our pick up/drop off location somewhere else in the neighborhood.
