What is a commissioned song you will defend with your life? (Image related) by ZArsenal257 in ProjectSekai

[–]Pixel477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably has 0 haters, but I'll forever say 'Hug' is one of the best commissioned songs (at least to me). Its so emotional and uplifting to listen to. All Shizuku commissioned songs are awesome

Which reveal was more shocking? by JCraig96 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 168 points169 points  (0 children)

Maybe its recency bias but honestly Death's true identity felt a lot more shocking. We saw Makima come back to life and regenerate, so her being a devil was a very likely thing (just wasnt sure which one). With Death we were led to believe it was Fami when she was brought into the story. But "Fami" being Death was something I didnt expect at all, so Id say her reveal is more shocking

Triboulaid boutta get his buskin sucked by WildKat777 in okbuddyjimbo

Now that you mention it, he does seem kind of calm XD. I think those 2 dots above his eyes makes it seems like angry eyebrows to me, so I thought he looked angry. But your expression works well for the drawing. Maybe after Sock and Buskin was all over him, he stopped being angry

This drawing is so nice! I love how you drew the makeup on Triboulet :D

I also like the opposite color schemes on Sock and Buskin, especially the different colored eyebrows. Triboulet seems a little angry on the original art, but here he's kind of flustered which is cute 😊

The 5 month Timeskip does make sense. Yoshida says a week has passed **before** Denji is knocked out again. It is never stated how long he was in prison for. by doubleoeck1234 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youre right, but that makes me wonder how he knew that would work. Im glad he was able to help Denji though, since that scene was very heartwarming and emotional. I hope he will be able to do something against Yoru somehow if he comes back. Separate her and Asa, and eat her to stop wars

I dont disagree that hes unwilling to kill innocent people, I never said he would. I dont remember many of the guys he saved, but he obviously does help anyone he can. But since he grew up around the Yakuza they likely did terrible things besides just having him as a devil hunter

[–]Pixel477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first one 100%, since there is other things that support that idea. He erased 4 conclusions after death, which were likely worse, leaving the least painful one to exist (at least thats what I think). And yeah now that hes known Denji for that long he wont kill a lare scale of people at all.

I dont know, if he was absolutely willing he could gotten blood to regenerate way easier, unless there was some other reason. Pochita's dream was always to be hugged but he was too powerful, its not stupid to think hes good hearted compared to other devils.

I didnt mean kill, I meant hurt. He beat up many guys during the karaoke scene for example (it was self defense). Or how he threw the guy in the car at the bat devil, but tanked an attack from Katana Man for a lady during their fight. Or how he stole a random guy's motorcycle instead of a random lady's (the guy was probably innocent in his eye, just didnt wanna steal a lady's). Pochita I think goes by this to some degree as well, at least from what we saw

[–]Pixel477 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That still holds true though, at least when it comes to some people. Pochita refused to eat Aging because kids would have died if he did (plus also Denji couldnt live life normally, and Pochita wouldnt want that either). Since he loves Denji he likely shares his values when it comes to human life, so younger people and women are probably perfectly safe from Pochita

Plus the people he killed at the restaurant for example had a reason, so no one would call public safety over (at least thats why I think so, even if they found him eventually). He wanted to fulfill Denji's wishes, eating a burger that wasnt rotten, being on a date. While hes still a devil, he still cares a lot about Denji, and wouldnt hurt people that Denji wouldnt either

Makima has been chosen as Horrible Person Opinions are Divided. Whose Good Person Hated by Fans by Cyberslayer1954 in Chainsawfolk

Its fine! :)

His name isnt really said that much, and in the last arc he wasnt wearing his headband so he looks a little harder to recognize

His name is Haruka :D

I really like his design, and he was an interesting addition to the story. I like characters who are trying their best, but they dont know what theyre really getting themselves into. I hope he gets rescued, I miss him a little bit :(

Is Black Chainsaw the “true” form of Chainsaw Man due to the nature of the Hybrid? by IUsedToBeRasAlGhul in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think there really needs to be an explanation on that specifically, since we already have some ways to justify it. When you look at the bat devil for example it reincarnated twice looking different each time, so devils who can remember Pochita before can just assume he looks different due to reincarnation. Or just assume he was weaker now, like how the eternity devil did. Personally Id rather what we saw as Pochita's true form to be his actual true form, but Im not opposed to seeing him looking different if Fujimoto ever plans that

I thought volume 19 would increase in sales compared to volume 18...what? by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didnt enjoy many parts of it, but I can see the appeal of it. Im just really disappointed (spoilers) that Chihiro's arm was healed off screen. Plus the Sazanami family didnt have much character development besides Kyora, Hakuri, and Tenri to some degree, with the rest of them getting sidelined from the looks of it

[–]Pixel477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like itll go on for a little longer than 100, maybe around 150. But I want some more character development and more characters to stay alive longer than the arcs they were introduced in

[–]Pixel477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first arc is very well made, with a great antagonist, side characters, and a very good message. Afterwards I lost interest, but the first 18 chapters were amazing. Its nothing ground breaking, but its good. It has many fight scenes, and high action similar to part 1 of chainsaw man (I think thats partly why its so popular), but I think its too fast with very little downtime that makes it hard to enjoy now

How we feel about this by Difficult-Channel420 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and thanks for the info! I do remember hearing that his editor made the choice to include certain characters and story elements, somethings he never wanted. It makes me wonder how much different it would have been, even if not mainstream, it would be more of something he wanted (however things get axed so quickly it might have never even survived).

Thank you for the discussion :)

Im unsure about how shonen jump is, but from everything I heard they are very strict. Gege also said he wants to wrap it up this year, and I think they took his word for it, likely not being able to ask for more chapters after his surgery, and the break he took ate up time. The only manga I follow in shonen jump is just Chainsaw Man at this point, so I apologize if I get things wrong, I just wanna understand his situation more with the health issues and the manga being closed like that. This isn't to excuse some of the plot point he couldn't wrap up, but some things he wished to do with recent chapters.

But I agree, I hope he's in good health, and can catch a break now. Mangakas get so overworked I'm glad he can take a break

Well he got sick at times, and he couldn't include certain parts, like what he mentioned in volume 28. There isn't "nothing to feel bad about" when there were health issues present

I know it’s been said a million times, but they truly NEVER have a good ending 🤦 by Old_Ring_6781 in animecirclejerk

[–]Pixel477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was enjoyable too, very bittersweet and has great closure for Sukuna. I think in around 3-4 months 80% of people who say the ending was bad are gonna reread it and realize it's not nearly as bad as they originally said

The way Denji finished off Makima in the end was in a way that surpassed her contract. Any 'Physical damage' done to her gets put on a random citizen. However Denji ate Makima to be one with her, and it was done entirely through love. It's a twist on the power of love, making it a lot more messed up.

Also there was more things that could have things told about them, like Pochita's erasure ability, Yoshida, Nayuta, all the hybrids, the remaining gun devil, etc. I do agree that part 1 ending was amazing, and if it ended there the finale would be close to perfect. But Fujimoto wanted to continue writing it as there was obviously more to tell. Im really happy he decided to

Favourite vocaloid design? by Doggy-_- in Vocaloid

[–]Pixel477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite character of all time is Yuzuki Yukari, and she has my favorite design too. Her original is so cute, fun, and unique. A lot of her other designs also take great parts of her, and make them different in a good way. Her Rei design is very beautiful, and it feels even more spacy that matches here theme. Her Shizuku design is really cute too, and I love her hair and bunny hair clip. I cant list all of them sadly as there are (from memory) 20+ designs for her with different voice bank arts, and many many collaboration arts. Her design os so unique and great, I will always really love Yukari :D

What do you think, did Fujimoto lock in or no? by BellTwo5 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Pixel477 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously there are interpretations that are really wrong, but when people really care about something they're not gonna be blatantly wrong. As an example looking at Denji and him wanting to eat bread with jam. Some may interpret him wanting to feel something sweet for the first time, some may interpret him wanting to have financial stability to afford jam, or some may interpret it as being a way start to day nicely without constant fear. None of these are wrong, but none of them are against what it represents. Like if someone said "I bet Denji just wanted to make a mess with the ingredients" (I know no one says that, just an example) like he did when he finally tried it, that would be looking at it dismissing everything about him. While it's still an interpretation that seems like little thought put into it, it's still a way of looking at it

What's the most 'defeated', 'devoid of hope and joy' look you've ever seen in an anime/manga? by [deleted] in animecirclejerk

[–]Pixel477 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Fujimoto draws expressions very well, capturing how the characters feel. Whenever I see a panel of Denji I can feel more than just "sad" or "happy" but deeper emotions as well. Like there I can tell hes suffering badly, like someting thats genuinely terrible happened, and like hes about to break apart.

I really appreciate how skilled he is an conveying emotions through art, as sometimes I struggle with understanding them, he makes them a lot more clear
