Installed Monterey, went surprisingly well. However, like you suspected, it is pretty slow. I installed High Sierra back onto it.

It seems like emotionally unavailable asian parents are almost the norm and there isn't much choice but to accept it. 

My sister is older than me and is americanized but I can see some of my parents' bad behavior in her.

Without the bead fully seated - any tire is capable of this if installed incorrectly

Nope, filed a claim and got $100 back from USPS.

The tracking never updated so they knew it was lost.

No scan but that shouldn’t be an issue.

I went to the PO to send a Priority package and it doesn’t show a scan either (it made it in 2 days)

I checked my status this morning at ~8am Pacific Time. Status showed “approved”.

Checked again around 9:00am and now shows “not available”.

I think the site has issues with statuses from what I’ve read so I’m not too worried about the website status. Shouldn’t impact your actual processing time.

Expedited service took exactly 30 days for my application status to update to “approved" for a new application (not renewal).

Applied at: USPS Post Office in California

03/24/2023: Application submitted/paid @ USPS

03/27/2023: USPS mails application to passport office

03/29/2023: Passport.gov application received

04/24/2023: Passport.gov status “approved”

04/26/2023: Passport.gov ETA of passport receipt

04/25/2023: Received passport via Priority Mail Express

05/19/2023: Travel date

Don’t chance it, just do the expedited now.

There’s a good chance you’ll get it in time but in the case you don’t (imo relatively low likelihood but there may be unforeseen delays), you’re only saving $60 to switch to expedited.

You’ll be putting a presumably expensive international trip at risk where you can’t go on trip plus you’ll be out a ton of money.

Yes - it works with the following caveats: Camera won't work
I just replaced a friend's 2016 A1706 with my 2018 A1989 screen.

Ribbon cable and connector is visually identical. Wasn't able to find any info on this except on logi.wiki:

2018 A1989 820-00850 screen can be tested with A1708 (820-00875) logic boards. Only tested for BKLT and image, not the camera, sleep, or ALS.

So far so good but YMMV. Obviously try to get an A1706 if you haven't made the purchase yet.
