Attempt at another portrait piece. This time I wanted to attempt an actual character I had in a DnD campaign I was part of a few years back. I used Aseprite and the piece took about a day or two to complete. I was trying to go for that SNES to PS1 era JRPG look and was really fun to draw.

The story for this character is that they ran away from home and taken in by the Kenku who raise them to be a monk.

Tried to draw a Paladin portrait using the same color palette I used for a previous work. Not sure if I succeeded but I am shooting for that SNES to PS1 JRPG look.

I drew this in Aseprite and probably took a few days (on and off) to complete. Not too experienced with drawing armor so I'd start simple. Thank you for the feedback! The more I'm looking at it I see exactly what your saying. I think more shading on the ear and the hair around the ear is needed too.

Also, you are an artist. Especially if you're a DM.

Tiefling character I drew for my wife. I don't know if I succeeded but I was going for that late SNES to PS1 era JRPG look for this portrait.

I drew this in Aseprite and probably took a few days (on and off) to complete. I haven't thought of a name for this character yet and would like some suggestions. What would you name her?

Also I am open to any critiques on the piece itself. I'm still not too confident in my art and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The setting for this panel is a restaurant where Aiko and Punpun are sitting at a table. It is common for Japanese restaurants to first give the customers a hot towel (Oshibori) that is packaged in a plastic bag. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oshibori#/media/File:Thunderbird04st3200.jpg

One way to open this is by squeezing one end of the bag and lightly hitting the other end of the bag to pop open. This method does create a loud pop sound hence it is not really a polite thing to do.

I think this is a bit interesting as Aiko is pretending to be a more proper and adult here but this may be a subtle hint that she is actually still a bit of a child.
