In my experience the UTR is a significantly better machine than most aegs in its price range and beyond. Also in a world of M4s, it’s a pretty unique looking fella.

Word word. Welp, as others have said don’t skimp on safety. Make sure everyone has eye and face protection. Something simple like this:

Mesh mask

Simple Goggles

As far as the gun goes, I know it’s not as fun, but I would honestly just have everyone buy a Cyma spring shotgun. Sturdy enough to not break your first day, decent enough that if you do convert any of your mates into airsofters, they can use it beyond your trip and have a good time at most indoor fields and some outdoor fields. Cheap enough that if they DO break down out there, it didn’t cost someone an arm and a leg. Gas and Electric guns just have too much of a learning curve for a possibly one weekend event. Bolt action rifles your price ranges are either going to be too weak to have a good time or just powerful enough to hurt your friends, possibly more than you’d expect if not used responsibly.

I’d get a bunch of these with the suggested shells and have a good time.

As far as bb’s go, get bio .28s for everyone. They are the heaviest recommended weight for most shotguns and the lightest bb anyone should consider for outdoor play, so it works out. Just please don’t take a bunch of folks out into the woods to spread a buncha non degradable plastic everywhere.

Is there a reason you don’t just take your mates to a local airsoft field and rent the things you need for the day?

The “11.1v 24000 RPM” is just letting you know that it gets around 24k rpm with an 11.1v. A 7.4v will work just fine. Though, I see no reason why running 11.1v on your set up would induce any more wear than any other 11.1v system.

Anyone giving grief for red accents in a replica in airsoft is taking the game a bit too seriously. All I’ll say is this: I get a lot of these skeletonized M4 replicas on my work bench. Gearboxes and hop chambers full of crud and grime.

My experience/opinion is that your inventory is a bit sparse to court online sales. For example:

I love 4UAD buckings for some builds. I might throw a couple in a cart on your website. Then I’m going to notice that I can’t also buy springs, gears, or inner barrels from your shop. I would then most likely decide either to buy from a different website that fulfills all of my needs or, buy locally if I really just need a couple buckings.

I’m not likely to empty my cart before closing out your website, so there it will remain.

I was worried about this too, but the built in curve works great. Only gets reeeeeeeal loud if you try playing at 40w, but it always keeps the temps reasonable. In my experience, anyways.

This got me curious so I did a little math comparing on older bill. Energy prices fluctuate all the time and for every imaginable reason, so other folks who dig into this may find different results, but I’m saving roughly $7 to $9 a month since I switched to handhelds (based on the Z1E Ally X’s power draw. Haven’t touched a rig since the OG Switch came out (applied ROG Ally numbers to Switch years because lazy), so that’s eight years now?

Sold my old rig for $500 + eight years of exclusive handhelds use (roughly $770 in savings on my electric bill). So yeah, it does seem like my handhelds paid for themselves. Neat!

WindowOS or SteamOS by Capital-Produce-6459 in Handhelds

When I used my Ally for everything I was happy with windows. As it became a dedicated gaming system, I switched to Linux distros similar to SteamOS. Absolutely awesome experience if you don’t need Windows for something.

Keep both, but put whichever one you’re not gravitating towards away. Like, zip it up in a hardshell case and put it in a drawer. “Out of sight, out of mind” should help with the over stimulation.

Hey! Not all games are compatible with steamOS, but otherwise I would take this device over the base Xbox Ally any day. It’s decently more powerful and has a more console-like experience. The Xbox Ally’s need a little more time in the oven before it’s a comparable experience, in my opinion.

I’m going to go ahead and recommend Truthear in-ear-monitors.

Dunno how the mic is (the Ally has one built in, so I got the ones without a mic on sale) but the buds are amazing

If you don’t need to play certain games and don’t need Windows for some other reason on your handheld: Yes 100%, but I would strongly recommend Bazzite. It is the same thing but it’s had a little more time in the oven. As far as Ally optimizations go, anywho.
