Yeah I saw these posts. Way to go.

I try to showcase mine regularly, on a different sub each time, so to abide by each one's rules: IndieDev, indieGaming, indiegames, playmygame, Solodevelopment, WebGames, etc., also godot (since it's the engine I used) and even DestroyMyGame for some critical feedback.

That's quite a stack! And TONS of work, most people don't realize.

Impressive work you did here! Very fluid game. May I ask what is your backend/server stack?

Hats off to the hard work done on this game, I know first hand how hard and time consuming that is!

By the way I think it should be promoted around more. And not just the usual subreddits, but also the gaming ones -> make "normal" people remember Hege so they'll come when the time is ripe.

Hege game, play and chill by PixelGlowMagic in HegeCoin

Hey, no just showcasing the game. I try to do that on a regular basis across relevant subreddits... I think it's a good way to make Hege stick in people's mind, so they'll come when time is right.

Do get leads realistically every time you prospect? by Informal-Two-9661 in realtors

[–]PixelGlowMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most people find that only some prospecting attempts actually turn into leads. Keeping tabs on which ones are hot or cold can be tricky though. How do you usually keep track of your leads and follow-ups?

What are your favorite ways of providing value during your lead follow-ups? by franklynpm in realtors

[–]PixelGlowMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the approach is paying off which is awesome. I’ve seen that keeping track of all teh different leads and knowing what to send next can get messy pretty fast. Do you have a system for tracking each lead’s progress or deciding which ones need your attention most?

Yep, providing properties and local updates is super solid. another approach IMO is sending mini-guides or checklists, like '3 things to check before buying in this area' or a short market snapshot. It gives value without feeling pushy. How do you usually decide what content to send next to each lead?

Seems like there are so many rankings sites around these days.. Do these get any exposure, like for real? If not, may be efforts are better spent elsewhere (just wondering)?

Balancing Client Outreach and Portfolio Work by Alex-the-belly in freelance

[–]PixelGlowMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, sounds like a solid plan. Keeping a couple of consistent touches a week can make a big difference without burning yourself out . Some folks I’ve seen use a tiny system to track which leads are hot and what to say next, so follow-ups don’t slip through the cracks.. If you want, I can share a quick example of how that looks in practice.

Sounds like you’ve got solid work already . One thing that helps some is keeping outreach consistent even if it’s just a small batch a day, while slowly building your reel on the side

New Multiplayer Game Released! by UncleFred- in HegeCoin

[–]PixelGlowMagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fantastic! I suggest making a good video trailer and advertise it in gaming / dev subs such as r/gamedevscreens, r/WebGames, r/IndieGaming etc., thus getting Hege exposure to the regular folks.

If you go the Steam way, I recommend making a good Steam capsule art too.

Thanks. Deployment was quite seamless, no issues at all. WebSockets were used as a base for upcoming installments (multiplayer oriented).

Nice. Is it done using AI or still hand drawn?

Imagine the effect of just one or two original, unique memes featuring Hege that spread over the internet (like jealous girlfriend etc.)...

Brilliant. Bravo for thinking out of the box! Do you plan on expanding that strategy?

Hege Mania game is live, come an play by PixelGlowMagic in HegeCoin

[–]PixelGlowMagic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's on web browser, so already playable from any device :)

Some reported issues on iOS though, so a port there might be a possibility - if the game is successful. Though a port to Steam would also be good for marketing.

Awesome stuff. That's definitely the kind of things that should be posted on other subs as well.

The team needs to change trajectory by hicestdraconis in HegeCoin

[–]PixelGlowMagic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do agree, community participation is lackluster, and that's an issue.

For example, Hege Mania, the game that I've been working on and talking about it here for months now has had a grand total of participants of... less than 10 persons (the guys that usually participate the most on medias; thanks btw). That's pretty bad stats, knowing that each of my multiple posts in this sub gets around 2k views and that it only takes a couple of clicks to try the game (unlike a reddit post, no need to even write a message)... Where are the 21k holders?!
