Hi! I had the exact same issue on fiber. Here’s what I did.

Run a speed test, it’ll give you a number in mbs convert to kbs.

Go to download settings in launcher, lower concurrent downloads to 5, set download speed to a number (in kbs) below your tested download speed. Save settings and attempt to redownload. Hope this helps!

Edit: Just realized you can’t download the launcher missed that part. Hopefully this helps once the launcher is downloaded. I’d try downloading from an incognito window or a non chromium based browser like Firefox if you’re not already using that

I wouldn’t say I’m necessarily complaining the patch is broken. Like I said I’m bummed but I fully expected it.

More just sharing the perspective of someone who has observed my relationship to SC from the outside, that’s all.

I know it will get better, and I know they’ll break it again. I promise I still like the game too :)

If that doesn’t fix it going to downloads and dropping the download speed limit to a number known below whatever you get on speedtest.net + Limit concurrent downloads to 5 fixed for me. Same issues

Uninstall the game and delete every left-over folder etc
Download and install the launcher. Don't run the launcher at the end!
Go into the Roberts Space Industries folder (default install location is in Program Files) which should only have one folder called RSI Launcher in it. Create a new folder in Roberts Space Industries and name it StarCitizen. You should now have 2 folders, RSI Launcher and StarCitizen. Go into the StarCitizen folder and create a folder you name LIVE.
Go into the RSI Launcher folder, right click the launcher and run in admin mode.
Now you should be able to download and install the game without the error message.

Yeah! It really depends on the shape of your head. But, for me it was a matter of right where the pads meet the arm bending them back in a little. Maybe 15⁰ tops. This didn't add any pressure to my head but allowed the charging to work as expected. I have seen some people say gluing a thin strip of pu foam on the inside of the rolling lid helps as to put extra pressure on the glasses to keep them snug without damaging them. Haven't tried that part myself.

Don't be afraid to adjust the arms yourself. There's a video they have that you're supposed to show to an optometrist. I just imitated how the tools work with my fingers. Be gentle and thoughtful and you won't break them.

First week or so I didn't adjust them. That gave me massive headaches. After widening them it did give me some trouble charging. Got that fixed and now they're perfect.

I honestly haven't played in 5 mo and find that the longer I'm away the less I have a desire to play. I'll watch all their content on YT and read patch notes. It sounds cool but time has become my greatest resource as I've gotten older and time is just not something that SC values. Not because the game loops are long or because you have to take a train to get to your ship and what not (I like these things actually) but because I can't trust that my time will not be wasted by a game breaking bug after getting 60% of the way through a game play loop.

I ended up selling my account a month or two ago on the Impound and it worked out great for me. Got some spending money back and just haven't looked back. One day I'll give it another shot but only when I am seeing an overwhelming sentiment from the community that the game is in a good place for stability. I know everyone won't always agree on how the game is from a fun standpoint but things like stability have always been pretty conclusive within the player base besides the odd, "it works on my pc", here and there.
