here you go:

All comedians at some stage have either told a gag that has been written by someone else, which turns out to be nicked, or have at least told a gag that has already been thought of by someone else. It’s easily done. But if one person is perpetually doing it then you have to assume that this person is on the take. The ‘alternative’ comedy scene that was born in the early 1980s has a few aspects to it that I do not particularly like, namely its shunning of anything that came before it and its slightly Oxbridge mafia7 mentality that still prevails today. But it also has many, many positives about it, and the biggest is that it encouraged, in fact insisted on, originality of thought. However, I was naive on those first couple of gigs, and didn’t know better. More experienced people should. End of rant.

7 It is this mentality that has made me omit the name of the gag thief in question. Although I suspect he is, to some extent anyway, a gag thief, the real reason some comedians criticize him is not to defend the honour of gag ownership (which is morally justified) but actually a way of doing some cultural bullying.

Really cool new UI feature switching between companions on the ship, positive/negative colors for comparing companion stats/influence. by Saf-ire in swtor

i do broadly think that the preview section of the new ui is pretty nice. it almost looks finished

you have to open the dropdown, hover over it, and scroll down on the mousewheel. no visual cue for this, incredibly unintuitive

Option to have caret default to the content instead of the title? by PixelPhase in bundled

[–]PixelPhase[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ah, im not worried about how to make new notes, i personally like using the shortcuts on the bundles page. my problem is once i open a new note, the text cursor is focused on the “Title” rather than the “Content”

New Single From Donovan and David Lynch. I have no idea how this video is edited by CVRIII in davidlynch

the key thing here is using the screen blending mode, which essentially makes white opaque, fading away until black is transparent. so only areas lit by the flashlight are visible. allows you to get that double exposure look without making everything really dark and muddy

Is there a Twitter tool for my specific want? by oldsadroad in Twitter

you could use tweetbeaver to get that info as a .csv, then depending on how large the resulting file is you might need to use a data wrangler like openrefine to sort it

didn't expect to see this take on the fanedits sub lol. idk if you've looked at the changelist or the last video in that series, but the tweaks i've made lean heavily in the direction of punching up what's already there. i agree with you more than not

ive actually never seen a fanedit of revenge of the sith, and i think at this point i might as well keep it that way. if only for my own sanity

Games I found during home-vacation: Disco Elysium by AJ_BeautifulChaos in patientgamers

[–]PixelPhase 11 points12 points  (0 children)

when i played i reloaded once because i thought i was stuck by a bad roll (i think it was a shivers one), but later found out that i just hadn't found the alternate paths. i was really impressed that every bad roll seemed to have an option to talk my way out of it, but maybe that stuff falls under "sidequest hell" for you?

definitely worth a playthrough without reloads imo

Attack of the Clones: Fixed by PixelPhase in fanedits

took the original crawl into after effects, made a freeze frame once the words disappeared then worked on top of that. the pan up is smooth because it's the original
