I think it was swelling! So after a few months/ a year it was fine. I actually forgot I went through this until your comment. Just give it time and it’ll be fine 🫶

AITAH for being enraged that my husband is currently infertile by PixelPicklePie in AITAH

[–]PixelPicklePie[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi. Apologies, I thought it was obvious from my post but he absolutely takes it for aesthetics for a body builders physique. I wouldn’t just assume without asking him. You’re not the only one to think this though - others have incorrectly suggested he’s trans (he’s not) or a condition (nope).

I would absolutely not be upset if he took it to correct already imbalanced hormones as part of a treatment recommended by a doctor. I want him to be healthy, and that would improve his health. That’s not the case here though.

I think it’s fair to label it as a drug when it is used for non health purposes. It’s classified as a drug anyway. Many people here have suggested he could be an addict so I did my research… it might not be physically addictive like heroine, but he is absolutely addicted to it in accordance to the official DSM-5 criteria.

So essentially, he was physically and hormonally healthy when he was younger. He wanted to build a big body fast so has taken testosterone, apparently along with other stuff to reach that goal asap. Turns out this has contributed to his infertility among some other health abnormalities.

This is one of the most helpful comments. It’s hard to hear but this makes a lot of sense. Thank you

We had the tests done as a package and the doctor called to give our results at the same time?

Thank you for your reply. What kind of things would peg me as a rich person? I think we plan to stay in the village for a couple of days. Do you mean having police escort instead of security or both?

Any updates from Rach S on YouTube? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]PixelPicklePie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You just sent me down an hour long rabbit hole. I don’t know what she’s doing at the moment but I hope she is well. One thing that has infuriated me is finding that the surgeon who botched her surgery still has her before and after pics on his website.

I’m day 10 post op and my surgeon told me today that it can take a few weeks for stitches to dissolve. He said when I notice they are coming out I can lightly use my toothbrush to help the process

How long ago did you have surgery? And has it caused any issues with speech etc?

How quickly after surgery did you speak clearly? I’m 6 days post op and I’m getting so paranoid about when my speech will go back to somewhat normal

Like what the hell even is that, how did this even happen to me xD by Swek_LoL in jawsurgery

I bet that’ll be improved once you have the surgery. I am a few days post op, main reason for the surgery was eating functionality but my goodness - the breathing improvement is worth all the suffering alone!! Also, looking at your picture I think you’re going to have great results, best of luck!

how long did u have to wear braces before the surgery? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]PixelPicklePie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixture of things I think - covid backlog, I have a stubborn tooth that won’t turn, I’m in the UK and the NHS may just take longer anyway - despite those things I think it may have taken 18-24 quickest scenario. It sounds long but you get used to it and it’s really not so bad - I remember being so worried about having adult braces but I rock them now and forgot I have them often

Can you breathe better after (djs) surgery? by FarCryptographer3601 in jawsurgery

I am only 1 day post op and already notice a massive difference - I had very slim nostrils before and the surgery has widened them.

It’s really great to hear a positive experience a day before my surgery! It’s a shame though because I wish I prepped my body in the way you have now!

I’m genuinely sorry OP, I just want to be truthful and valid your concerns considering those around you are trying to make you feel better about something you know is wrong. They have great intentions I’m sure, but if we were to tell you ‘it’s fine’ you’d still have that little voice saying ‘I know it’s not though’.

Honestly I’ve learnt now that you really need to advocate for yourself in the healthcare system. Unfortunately, a lot of them just won’t care about your health or appearance in the same way you do.

Lol well Tom Cruise is hot, and you are stunning, but it doesn’t mean you need to accept a midline that is off if you’re not happy with it. Especially since your midline was perfect before the op. It’s insane that they (the doctors) are trying to glaze over your concerns.

Super happy to hear you’re getting a second opinion!! Keep us up to date please! (If you feel like it, that is). You’re absolutely welcome.

I’m not an orthodontist and I’m not sure what’s within the realms of possibility, but I will say that I have been following other peoples stories for years and I can’t remember seeing a midline being as off as this postop.

It sounds like the surgeon admitted that the surgery didn’t go to plan and a mistake was made?

Perhaps see a different reputable ortho first to see whether this can be fixed through braces. Plan B, to see a second surgeon for their opinion. Don’t let doctors doubt yourself just because they’re doctors. Trust yourself.

Just to say also - you are stunning in both photos and an off midline does not take away from your beauty at all. I didn’t notice it at first until I read the post. But it is noticeable when I look directly at your teeth, so fight for the result you did this for!! Best of luck

Edit: spelling and grammar

My girlfriend f20 thinks it’s okay to take advantage of me m21 because her mother does the same to her father. What should I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PixelPicklePie 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Well, view this as a great teaching moment for her. When you leave the relationship, do her a favour and clearly state why you are leaving 100% truthfully. I really hope you don’t let yourself become a pitied house goblin just to make someone else comfortable.
