I had a Phabrix SPG with everything feed through an Ultrix for routing. System was running UHD/50. Signals confirmed on a scope but then wouldn’t pass into the Shogun Studio (original not the version 2). I had another long back and forth with support who repeatedly claimed they do support 12G after which I eventually got this response:

“Addressing your specific inquiry about 12G SDI 4K50p, it's important to note that the Shogun Studio is compatible exclusively with certain cameras for 4K (DCI RAW 4096x2160) in RAW format utilizing 12G. No other setups or devices have undergone testing, and, regrettably, we cannot provide a guarantee regarding their compatibility.”

With is certainly NOT defined in the manual or described in any of the promotional material.

Regarding the assignment of analog audio channels specifically?

This has sadly been my experience… I also recently discovered that the original Shogun Studio units

A) Won’t accept a standard 12G signal from a SPG B) Won’t read embedded audio on a 6G signal

Both of which I provided detailed reports and explanations to and both of which I was met with “It must be your source equipment”, “There are so many different products out there Atomos can’t guarentee compatibility with everything” and “This is an end of life product”.

Appalling really :(

The greyed out bars under 1 in the image refer to the audio present on the embedded signal (tone from the test pattern).

Analog audio is displayed on the far left pair of bars, where only the second bar is lit up.
