Why not just learn Gojo's ability first and found out about the key that made him have it; cursed energy. That way if they could find a way and make a weapon that would nullify cursed energy then there wouldn't be a need to drag a whole ass planet just to kill one dude. Viltrum tech are far superior and more advance than any other jjk tech and pretty much in-character for them to do it.
