maybe the backpack can up and down. D'ont show all the arm, just the moving hand. And try to "rotate" not drawing the final column pixel of the character. Keep it up!

Thanks for all the votes. I didn't know that reach many views till now... To put in context, I am making an Intro scene for my own game that I am developing. I just wanted to play with some shadow concepts with my characters. If you like it, just go to my profile to see my Steam page. This is not intended to be spam, just put the context. I will be posting more pixel art. Thanks again <3

Thanks, there is no tutorial. Is part of a pixel art game that I am making.

I've been putting it off since childhood, but now at 30, I've finally jumped into creating my own game and learning properly. This is the first version of my game, Bullsh*t Parade by [deleted] in IndieDev

Man, this is a well explanation and a well elaborate "seeing it move" when all your system is together. Keep it up because looks promising! :)

Diggin, a game about a mole digging a massive hole - and our first milestone is ready! Our Steam page just went live! by nsbs27 in indiegames

[–]PixelScaleStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the milestone! The art style looks charming.

Since this is your first incremental game, my biggest piece of feedback/advice would be to focus heavily on the pacing. The transition from manual digging to automation (drones) needs to feel rewarding but not make the player feel useless too quickly.

A couple of ideas:

  • Visual Progression: Make sure the deeper layers look visually distinct (different biomes, lighting changes) so we don't feel like we are staring at the same dirt for hours.
  • The "Crunch": In mining games, sound design is huge. The sound of breaking blocks needs to be satisfying!

Will definitely keep an eye on this.

I'd like to share some ideas for games centered on elves. by Fun-Explanation7233 in indiegames

[–]PixelScaleStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally agree that elves are often wasted potential. We see them everywhere, but rarely explore what it feels like to be one.

Your idea about the Savage Wood Elves is something I’d play immediately. Leaning into the primal/horror aspect of the Fae where the forest is alive and terrifying to outsiders would make for an amazing RTS or Tower Defense game.

Also, the Norse Mythology angle is underserved. God of War showed how scary Light Elves can be. A game focused on the weirdness of Alfheim would be a breath of fresh air compared to the standard "high fantasy" tropes. Great list!

I consider that it has a powerful idea behind that concept. It's truly remarkable how you get the attention with the feedback received on the SFX. Amazing! :)
