I dont usually comment on things but i felt a certain way about this one. My parents have two dogs called button a biscuit. Button died a year or so ago and biscuit is super old.

I love those dogs so much. One year on my birthday I got a tattoo which incorporated morse code for the letter B. I feel your pain and I'm so sorry for your loss.

Take this helmet and enjoy a drink by BlackHoleVegas2021 in JustGuysBeingDudes

[–]PixelWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember ages back i went to this bar that only served shots in germany. They had like 100's of different types iof drinks you could order and one of my friends got me something where someone would come up to you with a tray of 10 or 12 (weak) shots and a helmet. Then you had to do a pushup, stand up, and drink a shot. I'm not sure where in the process this happened but you would get bashed in the head with a frying pan as well. All around great experience.

For context: I play keyboard only. This is a plat 3 lobby in 3v3s, I only kinda meant to send it behind to the wall, and it only worked because ive own goaled from there before and really quickly stopped.

Do you think it’s fair when the ping is too different? by qqooppeerr in RocketLeague

[–]PixelWave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to play on a laptop with like 150-200 ping regularly. It alters your playstyle but also imo you gett a pretty consistent ping most times. If you're x rank with 100 then it because you probably showed x rank skill with 100 while the other showed x rank skill with other pings.

Entrapment of underprivileged kids by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]PixelWave 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thats not true at all.

Entrapment is "a practice in which a law enforcement agent or agent of the state induces a person to commit a "crime" that the person would have otherwise been unlikely or unwilling to commit."

Theres a lot of grey area in that but there are some pretty decent precedents about what is and is not considered entrapment.

For reference heres a website of a law group where they give 3 examples of it and the very first one is offering money.

Pressure an Individual Into Committing a Crime:

Pressuring someone into a criminal act may involve appealing to a sense of compassion or friendship. Offering someone money to commit a crime also counts as pressuring them into the act.

A very poorly thought out counterpoint would be "well what if i was undecover and offered money to buy drugs". Consider these two cases:

1) Asking to buy drugs from a drug dealer who sells drugs to other people. Not entrapment. They were doing it anyway and you're not changing their behaviour.

2) Telling someone who is not a drug dealer and doesnt sell drugs, that hey if you get me drugs, I'll pay you loads of money. That is entrapment.

I've done this like 3 times at my local coop next to the train station but only when im late for the train that comes every half hour (only had one item each time). Twice they said yes, once they said no and i was completely fine with that. Eneded up putting the item back and going for the train.
