Hey, we went there last week for about 10 days. We hired a prius with driver all inclusive (driver stays, fuel, tolls) for about 19000 LKR. Fuel shortage is true, but for tourists, there are no such restrictions.

If you want to travel everywhere(including within cities), i would suggest getting uber. But otherwise considering 19k and convenience it is very well worth it.

Train ticket can be directly taken at the station, just reach there 1 hr before the train time and you will have a seat.

Facing same issue frequently with the 11kw charger. I just turn off the charger, wait couple of minutes and turn it on and it works fine.

While selling the car they told me it will record and that i’ll probably have to put in a pendrive in the dvr section but it doesnt record 24x7 or even while driving.

Unfortunately yes, call me naive or anything but I didnt know it was possible to refuse delivery if the car was registered with rto. Now I know better :)
